Good guys with guns save lives

Sunrise, Fla.: A burglar was fatally shot Monday after breaking into a home in the 4300 block of Northwest 103rd Terrace in Sunrise, authorities said. Police said the suspect was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he later died.

Two other suspects fled the scene and were detained nearby, police said. The suspects’ identities have not been released and authorities have not said whether anyone inside the home was injured.

Philadelphia: Police are investigating after a suspect was shot during an attempted robbery in Philadelphia’s Feltonville section. It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Rockland Street.

Police say a man in his 20s was trying to rob a person when the victim opened fire, shooting the suspect twice in the leg. The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital, where there was no word on his condition. The victim was not injured.

The crook will get better and get a lawyer and sue the victim. The victim will have to defend himself and it will cost him everything he has. No person who has been convicted of a crime should be allowed to profit from that crime. But it does and will happen especially if it happens in Maryland.

You are so correct about being put in jeopardy by defending ones self or family, but we must protect ourselves. Not that I want to, but when it comes to us or them, the bad guy will lose.
