Trump weighs meeting in Mexico with the country’s president

Donald Trump will travel to Mexico City on Wednesday for a meeting with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, just hours before he delivers a high-stakes speech in Arizona to clarify his views on immigration policy.

Peña Nieto last Friday invited both Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to visit Mexico, his office said in a statement provided to The Washington Post on Tuesday night.

Trump, sensing an opportunity, decided over the weekend to accept the invitation and push for a visit this week, according to the people in the United States and Mexico familiar with the discussions.

Late Tuesday, Trump and the Mexican president confirmed on Twitter that they will meet Wednesday.

“I have accepted the invitation of President Enrique Pena Nieto, of Mexico, and look very much forward to meeting him tomorrow,” Trump wrote Tuesday night. Shortly after, Peña Nieto’s office wrote that “El Señor” Donald Trump has accepted the invitation and will meet Wednesday privately with Peña Nieto.

No, not all Mexican are criminals but a good portion of the illegal immigrants who slip through the Mexican US border ARE violent criminals.

I'm sure Mr, Nieto doesn't want illegals from Guatemala, Syria, Iran and other terrorists coming through his country, either. We don't see Obama going there to talk with him.

You're right, 8:24, and the Donald needs to make that distinction loud and clear.

On the whole, Latinos are great people- very conservative and family-oriented. But many of the people crossing the border illegally are not doing right. LOTS of sexual predators, lots of alcohol-related problems, lots of drugs. Gangs.

"Speak the truth in love".. but speak the TRUTH.

You notice the press don't interview those Latinos supporting Trump who oppose amnesty after they entered legally by following the law and going through the process.

Trump did much better on his visit to Mexico than I expected. He held his own on a stage with another country's President. Looking more presidential all the time.
