The controversy in question concerns two letters sent by faculty in Smith’s School for Social Work to school administrators. Although the letters were initially private, they were leaked to students at the school by an unknown person, who said they wished to reveal the “violent, racist rhetoric directed toward students of color on the Smith campus.”
The first letter, sent by professor Dennis Miehls, warns that the school was failing in its “gatekeeper” function by admitting too many academically unprepared applicants.

Crucified for telling the truth , a typical reaction from an organization BLM that is now working to overthrow our legal system. The culture of the African people.
Affirmative Action fails 90% of the people it is designed to help - along with everyone that should have gotten the job/position/promotion/scholarship but didn't because it went to someone through a quota.
Eventually, the lack of ability catches up to the AA beneficiaries through marginal performance - a recent example is the army purge of mid-grade officers based on performance evaluations - a majority of the ones RIF'ed were AA beneficiaries. The army stayed off lawsuits by revealing the performance evaluations. No consolation to those that were passed over initially except the KARMA!

When Hispanics (due to illegal immigration) become the majority in the US, which is not that far away, does that entitle the white race to affirmative action?
Also, if the true statistics were ever revealed as to how many white people were denied jobs simply because of their race, the numbers would be staggering.

Smith is one of the Seven Sisters, the female parallel to the Ivy League in days gone by.
Buffy's parents ain't going to be happy with the enormous unsubsidized tuition bills if the prestige of Buffy's school is falling like a rock due to admission of those who should be taking remedial classes at community college.
And sooner or later, after their social promotion through the Smiths and other colleges, the under prepared will be pulling your teeth, cracking your chest and pleading your case.
It will be risky to tell the truth if it doesn't conform to what the mob wants to hear.
