UPDATE: 3 Law Enforcement Officers Killed, 3 Others Injured in Baton Rouge Shooting

DEVELOPING - At least three law enforcement officers were killed and three others injured in a shooting Sunday in Baton Rouge, officials said.

A suspect was also dead in a gun battle with police. Two other suspects may also be at large, officials said.

The shooting -- which happened just before 9 a.m., less than 1 mile from police headquarters -- comes amid spiraling tensions across the city, Louisiana's capital -- and the country -- between the black community and police.

A police robot was brought in to ensure there were no explosives on the dead suspect or in the vicinity.

A witness told WBRZ-TV, a man was dressed in black with his face covered was shooting indiscriminately when he walked out between a convenience store and car wash across from Hammond Air Plaza, according to Fox radio affiliate WJBO.

Multiple police units were stationed at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, where the officers were taken. A police officer with a long gun was blocking the parking lot at the emergency room.

Spokeswoman Ashley Mendoza said the hospital received five patients from the police shooting, all "law enforcement professionals." Of the two who survived the shooting, one is in critical condition and the other is in fair condition.

These are isolated incidents. Should we realize that we are expected to irrationality respond to it the enemy will rejoice.

Is somebody drugging these people with psychotics? There's too many of these actions too close together to be random.

Let me see someone or a group of people shooting at our police officers. I for one would somehow come up with a gun and help the police. I wonder if you were to come across this happing and a police car was locked and police have been shot. If you were to break a window of the police car and grab a shotgun. Would you be charged ?

3:43 it depends on who the States Attorney is. I know a few who would not charge you, but would participate in a ceremony honoring your heroic actions. Others I'm not so sure. So the simple answer is-it depends.

3:01-Their inherent traits are surfacing. They feel emboldened because of the in actions of Obama and because of the actions of BLM.

Where are all of the white radicals the Obama administration says is the real problem?

2:58, what the hell are you saying? The writing is on the wall. Obama had this planned so he can stay in the white house longer. Mark my words. (map)
