I don't know how anyone watches WBOC or Fox 21......all they due during the broadcast is constantly stutter / break up during viewing...the picture quality has been on the slide since Mr. Jordan left then Mr. Raymond died and the quality has been a real joke! Maybe Draper or Jahelka should try viewing their channel and spend some money on a competent engineer....let alone weather people and news anchors. It can't be Comcast because the other channels have no issues....

Why does everyone think that we have to hire blacks to be involved in everything. There is so much white guilt in this country that it is absolutely pathetic to be bowing down to people less qualified than a white person. Pathetic.
Blacks are only 13% of the population and now they have lead roles in every single movie. Think about it, every single movie. Then when you look at a movie by black producers there is no whites in the movie unless they are playing a role to be made fun of.

I can honestly say, the executives at WBOC are flat out STUPID if they think for a second we enjoy being DUMBED DOWN. I cringe every single time I see this woman turn on the hood speak. Notice how clear she was when she interviewed Governor Hogan. She's an actress and the executives are too stupid to see through her crap, or it's all a part of their plan.

One of my recent favorites is "foilage" for foliage, which we've heard on local TV and radio lately on many occasions. Evidently it's a new piece of vocabulary for all of them, one about which they don't seem to care.

Paul is a straight up guy and he has great hard working parents who sent their children to Saint Francis de Sales private Catholic School before sending them on to public high school.
Their kids are all successful in life. The parents did everything right. So did their kids and you jokers still tear into them. It is just more evidence of the white privilege and racism you all deny.
8:25, The ENGLISH language is what we speak in this country. WMDT does a very fine job speaking the English language. Mind you, most have a bit too much of a lissssp for my enjoyment but at least they speak clearly. By the way, your UMES comment in my opinion is very close to being racist.

Both local stations are jokes. BOC tries to be serious most of the time if you just forget about the weather reports and MDT is going bankrupt. You can't take either one seriously.
There are so many dialects, accents, and ways to twist the "Queen's English" here on the Lower Eastern Shore. Folks should be wary of poking fun at how others speak. I agree that if you're involved in public speaking, then learn to speak correct English. But there's lots of different ways to pronounce words. Is it Heb-ron, or Heb-run?
A lot Blacks have a disdain for "talking white" which is actually speaking fluently. It goes back to their African roots. Whomever coined the phrase "African America" hit the nail directly on it's head. Those who call themselves African Americans, still no matter how many years they have been removed from the ghetto, can't help themselves and will without fail revert back to ghetto behaviors, including Ghetto Speak. Ghetto behaviors are synonymous with the behaviors of those who live in African countries which just like the ghettos are cesspools of lawlessness and poverty.
This is just a simple example of the ever changing phenomena of the twisted black mind. Their gibberish that they call a language is ever changing, moving farther and farther from anything even remotely coherent. I wouldn't be surprised if in a decade or two that the blacks will come full circle and end up speaking a "language" that somewhat resembles their ancestors speech of gutteral noises, grunts, screeches, clicks and chirps. The reason I can say this with such confidence is imagine a young black growing up hearing the perverse broken language known as ebonics, with its ever changing and adapting ways to grow farther and farther from anything that would resemble whiteness. They are taught its cool, taught it makes them unique, manly, "gangsta"...They have no where else to go but to spiral down. They truly are a cursed people.
That problem comes natural to her. Just read through some of their Facebook pages and you will see that the ignorance is a heritage, culture and custom.

I worked with a guy from Crisfield? and he talked like he had a mouth full of marbles. I had to have another employee translate, because I spoke regular english and never had a clue as to what he was saying.

1:18 everyone has some "roots." Whether you are 6th or 7th generation American your ancestors came from somewhere. Even Native Americans can trace their roots back to Asia so are Asian really. Blacks can trace their roots back to Africa, so they are African. Whites for the most part have European ancestry or roots. I agree we are all Americans and it's unfortunate that some blacks insist on not being inclusive.

Is Steve Hammond is there or retired? I have had contact with him a couple of times through the years and found Mr. Hammond to be a heck of a good guy. I asked because I don't watch the local stations much, especially that kid on 47 that leans on the desk with his elbow. Guess he is looking for the relaxed look instead of professional appearance.
