PUBLIC NOTICE
A public hearing for comment will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 7pm in the matter of the application of Gateway Solar, LLC to construct a 12 MW solar photovoltaic generating facility in Worcester County, to be located between Old Ocean City Road (Maryland Route 346) and Ocean Gateway (Maryland Route 50) southeast of Whaleyville, Maryland. The application has been docketed by the Maryland Public Service Commission as Case No. 9409. Case filings and associated pleadings in the matter are available in the electronic docket file (9409) which may be viewed or downloaded atwww.psc.state.md.us.
The hearing will be held at the Ocean Pines Community Center, 235 Ocean Parkway, in Ocean Pines, Maryland. Members of the public who wish to comment on the matter are welcome to attend the proceeding before Public Utility Law Judge Dennis Sober.
Additionally, the application, environmental review document and supporting testimony are available for public inspection at the Worcester County Development Review and Permitting Office, Worcester County Government Center, 1 W. Market St., Room 1201, Snow Hill, Maryland 21863.'

Most certainly being paid for with somebody else's money.
Utility Scale solar makes ZERO CENTS. A policy shift will turn it into junk in the fields overnight.
Solar energy is the 2nd most costly way to produce electricity with offshore wind being the most cost prohibitive. Looks like Worcester is also in for a ride!
Electric consumers will now be paying double for their electricity because even when the sun is shining backup energy is necessary. Governor Hogan veto alluded to the higher utility costs and tax increases and that was only for a 3% increase of the 20% concurrently mandated. O'Malley and the liberal MD legislature is still shafting us folks!!!
