Who cares if they were drug addicts? That aspect of their lives was never glorified, and widely known as all of their downfalls.

pop culture is filth.

Role models!! HA!!!

Drug addiction is horrible. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Tortured souls. I think it is important that young people know fame and fortune often leads to loss of reality. People should never be placed on pedestals.

Not role models for anyone I know and should not be considered role models anyway.

Sad, no matter how you spin it. I use it for educational purposes. Also proves the old cliche about money vs happiness.

Agreed - Pop culture is filth.

People didn't admire them for their drug habits...lots of judgement going on here

If they were role models, it was only centered around their musical talent.
Just like Elvis, just like Hank Williams, just like a hundred others of their industry.

No one from Hollywood should be a role model. Drugs, sex, alcohol, perversion, greed, shameless behavior......all the same.

We hear little about the personal lives of many celebrities who live decent lives and for a good reason. Their lives are dull to a public looking for thrills, sensation or people to ridicule.

True. I have respect for those who maintain a lower public profile. But that's just me.

Drugs and sex and rock and roll. Oh yeah, and early death.

It's all for money and fame but when they get there they learn there are much more important things in life that make us content and happy, although, they're not things.
