WICOMICO COUNTY HEROIN DEALER CONVICTED

WICOMICO HEROIN DEALER CONVICTED OF
MULTIPLE FIREARM AND DRUG FELONIES

On May 3, 2016, a Wicomico County jury convicted Jermaine Peters, age 34, of Wicomico County, Maryland, of possession with intent to distribute a large amount of heroin, being a felon in possession of regulated firearms, possession of a regulated firearm during a drug trafficking crime and numerous other related offenses.

The events at issue stem from a Search and Seizure warrant which was executed on October 13, 2015, at 1402 Chateau Drive, Salisbury, Maryland. When officers arrived at 1402 Chateau Drive to execute the warrant, Peters was located on the back porch and a female was located in living room of the home. As officers searched a dresser in the master bedroom of the home they located two stolen handguns which were loaded with ammunition, numerous gun magazines containing live ammunition and several boxes with additional live ammunition. In the master bedroom closet, officers located a rifle and a shoe box which contained a large amount of U.S. currency. The total amount of U.S. currency recovered from the home and Peter’s person was $118,667.26. Officers also located over one kilogram of heroin in a nightstand located in the master bathroom. The street value of the heroin was estimated to be over $700,000.00.

Peters has multiple prior convictions including felony drug and firearms convictions. Sentencing in this case was deferred to allow for a pre-sentencing investigation to be completed. Peter’s potential total sentence on the offenses for which he was convicted is one hundred twenty-one years with at least twenty years of that time being mandatory, non-parole eligible time.

Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew A. Maciarello commended the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force and the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mr. Maciarello also thanked Patrizia J. Coletta who prosecuted Peters.

Maybe the DA thinks that tax dollars are better spent going after real criminals not guessing who drew a cartoon.

BFD , he'll post bond and be gone with the wind.
If he had that much in a shoe box , he can get 20 times that from his supplier.

He needs to be charged with murder also.

They'll plead out the gun charges, hoping for bigger fish. Them obummer and d.o.d. will release non-violent offender early.

It's not likely that he'll be able to bond out after this conviction. He'll be held for sentencing as a flight risk.

3:13 you watch too much tv. His supplier probably wants him dead if that kilo wasn't paid for.

He needs the death penalty period! I wonder how many people died from the heroin he sold them. Let's face it....yes the addiction is real in Wicomico County! People make the mistake by trying this drug and then it owns them. The drug dealers know this so it is a win win situation for them. They don't care who dies, they don't care what the addicted steals or from whom to get the drug. They take more than money for the drug, phones, xboxes, jewelry, and anything of value. They don't care where you get it. The lady that was with him should get the same! She knew what was going on in that house! This epidemic has got to end.

no worse than his brother pete, rip.

Go back and see who got buster in September 2015 for distribution. That's who sold him out. With that kind of weight, he wasn't dealing baggies out of a house in that neighborhood.

Didn't he have another brother, Harry?

They should take that money and put it towards rehab for his victims! Most addicts can't afford to get clean. Some of them want help. The dealers are to stupid! They know when any of their "CLIENTS" get busted they are going to call them out as they should. No deals should be given to these worthless human beings. The sad reality is we get to feed him and supply him him with all of his medical needs all the while we are paying 600.00 a month for medical insurance. I would bet my paycheck that we will end up providing for his children.

Why bother Obama will likely commute is sentence like he did 58 others today. I believe Trump will correct these action. Lets make America great again and stop giving in to all of these no goods.

Because Obama can't commute a state sentence.

They ruined their own lives. There isn't anyone who called this guy to talk about the weather and got talked into Heroin. You want to blame someone blame the doctors and the pharmaceutical industry that got them hooked in the first place.
You know what will happen now. His customers will go downtown for the methadone you bought for them with your tax dollars, in a couple days his customers will find new dealers, and you will provide this guy with 3 hots and a cot for the next 20 or 30 years.
Nothing at all has changed from this guy's arrest. NOTHING!

For what. So the Rehab center can use the money for everything else except the addicts. The trustees have to get paid. The board members have to get paid. The advertiser have to get paid. Rehab center staff, doctors and nurses have to get paid. So many power to be have to get paid before they will EVER drop a dime on the addicts.
