A Viewer Writes: Joe - again with the Delmarva Times -- you see THIS? from Today? Wait til you read it

Thumbs down: To Joe Werner, the Harford County attorney who won the Democratic Primary for the First District U.S. House seat. Werner didn't campaign, didn't raise money and didn't seem to care whether he won or not. Still, he defeated former Salisbury mayor Jim Ireton, who quipped, "I just got beat by the guy who didn't leave his house." We'd like to see candidates who actually seem to want to meet and represent people. Werner made a mockery of the system.

Our Viewer Wrote: Thumbs down for WERNER!~ Not their Jim! Canceled my subscription.

Thumbs up for beating Jimmy. It is not a mockery of the system. We do not need Jimmy in congress so the system worked fabulously.

sit home and beat baby Jim LOLOL.

Dear Daily Times, your guy lost. Too bad for you. For all you know, the Dems got smart and put this Werner guy up to it so that arrogant jerk didn't represent them nationally. But you and Jimster just keep telling yourselves how important he is. When your editorial sounds just like the email Jimster put out, the public goes, hmmmm.

Props to Werner for knowing how beatable Jim was and for being fiscally responsible.

I think some at the DT's needs to check themselves in an insane asylum. They are completely obsessed with Ireton losing.
When you start criticizing the winner who did nothing to Ireton that's bad. Really bad. Who makes the decisions for what runs in the DT's?
They seem to have some very real mental problems. This is probably why the paper is circling the drain. No one who is good (and mentally stable)would lower themselves to work for such a nasty paper like this one who would harass a young drowning victim's family like they did.

Democrats everywhere are sick and tired of the gay agenda. The last thing they want is another relentlessly gay blade prancing around Congress. You have to wonder who was advising Ireton because if they didn't know gays have very very much worn out their welcome then they are very very low information. You can bet about half of Joe Werner's votes were anti gay Ireton agenda votes.

Werner said to little Jimmy,
I can beat you without leaving my house!

2:58 Joe Werner had no idea how beatable Ireton was. He was more than likely more surprised than Ireton that he had won. He's been a perpetual candidate who throws his name in the mix and that is all he does. You can bet most people voted for him because they didn't like Ireton and what he stands for and not so much they like Werner because no one knows what he is all about anyway.

Liarton should count his blessing the other guy didn't campaign, otherwise the beating would have been more embarrassing.

Werner's winning votes came from western shore counties that had no idea who Ireton was other than a shorebilly.

Ireton thought he could beat And Harris! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I really think that Ireton lost on the Shore because he didn't get enough here so he could outlast Werner on the Western shore. Lots of stats for example that's how elections are decided Northern and Southern Va. The pols know that. The ones who know how to win. I guess unlike Jim Ireton. I also think him bragging about 4 for 4 wins in elections got his head to big. Salisbury Council ain't Congress.

Daily Times proves they are no better with new editor. Still clueless if not even worse. Just close the doors for good.

For sure if this were a Republican the headlines would be screaming "What went wrong?" "Horrible campaign"... etc. you just know it would be. I mean are they going to ask Jim what he did wrong? What happened to journalism?

Jim should be glad Werners dog didn't run

If Werner's name was substituted by Ireton's in the article, it would be a "thumbs up" for him being so popular that he didn't have to leave the house.
Sour grapes.

Bingo. Exactly!

I think I saw this on another post. Ireton should resign his council seat. He was running to leave it anyhow and if he HAD won he would be going to Congress. He doesn't want the seat. He should resign it and allow some younger blood in there who wants to really work for that District. Not someone who is constantly eyeing another seat. Day will be Mayor for awhile. I'd bet 8yrs which means Ireton doesn't have that as a possibility.

home boy jimmy should be thankful he didn't win. the whipping he would have taken from andy harris would have been ugly. unless he likes whippings

Jim Ireton got 207 votes for a small town election! Very embarrassing and then the mental case braggs about winning 4 elections and then announces he is running for Congress. Really, 207 votes and he thinks he is Congressional material! LMFAO at Jim Ireton, Jake Day, Chris Demone, Bill Duck, Josh Hastings and Julie Gumz, I mean Glanz!

Why does it have to be young blood? Older people make better politicians.
