28th Annual Festival Saturday May 14

FESTIVAL May 14 at the Mardela Ballpark, Station St. & Railroad Avenue, Mardela Springs, for adults and children. Free parking, admission and handicap accessible bathrooms. Please bring your chair and stay the day. It begins with a parade at 9:45 am down Main St. The Mardela Middle High School band will march in the parade, then perform at the ballpark before disbanding. Following the parade there will be a Vehicle show that includes trucks, cars, motorcycles and tractors. The group " Imagine" will play through out the festival. The Wicomico County Sheriff 's office will be presenting a "K-9" demo.

The demonstrators of wood carving, fish nets, bottles & tins, Indian artifacts etc will be under the tent to show the way it was done in the past. also see working bees up close and personal.

"Blessing of the Farmer & crops" will take place at 12 noon, we would like to invite of the farmers and theirs families. The antique tractor pull begins at 1 pm with free admission, bring a chair or blanket.

The Mardela Springs Volunteer Fire company will be selling scrapple sandwiches at 8:30 am followed by BBQ Chicken platters, King boys oysters fritters, hamburgers. Other not for profit organizations will be selling other good foods.

Get your 50/50 tickets, the winner will be drawn at the end of the day. Children's activities include the bounce house, dime toss, Duck Pond, Hebron Depot Train Rides, chalk writing on the road and more.

Check out the silent auction tent that will have a lots of hanging baskets, 2 tickets to "Sight & Sound", Crown Sports Center tickets, decorated porch theme items, an" Al Fresco picnic for 4", a tea for 6, gift cards and much more.
