Date of Incident: 11 April 2016

Location: 1000 block of Beaglin Park Drive, Salisbury, MD

Male Juvenile, 14, Salisbury, MD
Male Juvenile, 16, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 11 April at 2:53 PM deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported fight on the grounds of an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Beaglin Park Drive in Salisbury. Investigation revealed that several subjects between two groups became involved in a mutual affray that drew the attention of staff from the apartment complex that helped bring the fight to an end. One of the participants at the conclusion of the fight then broke out a window on a vehicle that one of the groups used to travel to the location which then precipitated a tumultuous response from that other group. In this response, two individuals brandished baseball bats and chased after the individual who broke out the window. An assault with these baseball bats was then reportedly perpetrated against the individual who broke out the window.

Salisbury EMS responded and transported the individual struck with the bats to PRMC where he was treated and released.

The Investigating deputy learned that this altercation was a continuation from a previous incident that happened several days prior. The investigating deputy has identified all the individuals responsible in this incident and at this time three juveniles have been charged. The investigation is on-going and more arrests are possible.

Charges: Assault 2nd, Disorderly Conduct and Affray

A slap on the wrist by the court and once beyond earshot they will laugh about the light punihment they got! First time offenders or not at that age they know better than to beat someone with a baseball bat and should be dealt with harshly!

Wow a bat no guns??

i heard some talk the other day about some violence that involved baseball bats that took place at Parkside HS just a few days ago. might this be related?

I'm sure there is no relationship between the incidents that happened on the same and same time directly across the street from each other. SMH.

They should have gone to mediation. The guns will come later, we fear.

As long as the parents choose to ignore the fact that even their children have issues and get more involved(especially males)it`s just a matter of time before this turns into gun play! Followed by free this one or that one! Then comes the R.I.P. talk! Followed by hopelessness and the cycle continues! SO SAD. No amount of jails or laws can break this cycle only a truly concerned community that decides to work together without fear!

The baseball bat incident happened across street from parkside. But they were parkside students engaging in back and forth violent behavior for over a week.

It never once mentions Parkside. I wonder why? It's obvious something happened at school and they took it off school property right after school ended.

That's because our schools are so safe, 10:43! Remember, Wicomico County schools have officers in them that stop violence there. That's why.

@7:08 it is the exact same incident! Too bad the real reasoning hasn't been given out! The child that was beaten with the bats started it all many weeks ago when he attempted his own version of the knock-out game on a $10 bet!

10:15am is correct. You reap what you sow. They picked the wrong boys to try the knockout game on !

Should have let them all go for another hour or so; you know, "Room to demonstrate" or whatever Mayor Balto said! Enough busted knees and heads might sink in that we're pretty tired of "knock out" games.

Tell that to the girl that was fighting of a rape for ten minutes fool. These resource officers are worthless and only collect payment checks. Just as the ones at the court houses. Worthless and not worthy of being on the road.
