There has to be a hoarding component to this situation.

There will be a mental health component to their court defense.

I agree with 1:33. This is definite a hoarding problem, a couple who just couldn't part with their dogs, and then it got out of control.

Cause of death will have to be determined in each of the dead animals.

I agree. A puppy mill is anot intentional breeding operation for profit. Since I haven't heard any indications of sales of the puppies, or a large number of pomeraniansession for sale locally through private sales in the classifieds or online, I'm not convinced the situation meets the definition of a puppy mill.

I don't think this was a hoarder situation which is a psychological condition i.e-no one can take better care then me of these animals. Hoarders don't typically sell any of their animals.
I am aware of who these people are. They've had money problems and were in danger of losing the Eden home a few years ago. With them I think it was a way for them to stay afloat financially. Breed and sell a few puppies and the ones not sold were basically discarded around the property and some having more puppies to sell a few here and there to pay the bills.

Remember when kids used to go outside and play? Nothing like this would have happened anywhere near where I grew up because we would have known about it.We combed every square inch of our neighborhood on a routine basis and even went where we were not supposed to go.If there had been dogs or cats anywhere around we would have seen or heard them long before it came to anything like this.

When that house goes into foreclosure...my god I pity whoever gets that property in REO status. That will be one ghastly trash-out. Sounds like a TLC property...Torch, Level and Clear.

This is not a hoarder situation. These people were selling puppies. As stated above a hoarded will not let go of any of their animals even for money. They get deeply attached to their pets and can not comprehend they are harming their pets by not providing the right amount of care. One person who purchased from them said on facebook that they wouldn't let them in the building to see the puppies but brought them outside. Unlike a hoarder they knew what they were doing wasn't right. The lady who purchased the puppy was one of at least several complaints made about the place.

Somehow they were able to halt the foreclosure a couple of years ago. Probably bred more puppies. They also own property in Dorchester Co. I hope officials there have checked it out.

Who are the people?

And if there was YEARS of complaints where was the Humane Society then?

I am 1:33 and I stand corrected,

On Facebook people are saying their names are Robert and Susan Murphy.

3:03 The responsibility falls on the county's animal control department. They are the body responsible for investigating complaints involving animals.

Anonymous said...

where were their family members? neighbors, etc.???

Anonymous said...

Evidently people were complaining some saying as far back as 6 years ago.

3:58 they are the county's animal control division. That is who the county is contracted with. Geesh. you just keep spewing your misinformation. pathetic

Funny to watch all the arm chair detectives and psychiatrists determine what is what based on no information, misinformation and just plain made up information.

GO do something productive and go volunteer or donate.

Where was animal control all these years. Are these people related to someone ??? Just does not add up.

6:53 The Humane Society is NOT the "county's animal control division." The are a non profit under contract w/the county to shelter animals picked up as strays, seized, surrendered. That's all they do. They have NO investigative powers at all. The county agency tasked w/investigating animal complaints is the Wicomico County Animal Control.

Nice try 8:21 but it has already been revealed that the old WCHS director David Fitzgerald is the Animal control director housed in the same building as the WCHS

Its all connected thru family relations etc.

You must be a family member blowing smoke screens and using word games to pull the wool over the public's eyes.

Even todays press release states it is authored by David Fitzgerald from WCHS
Explain that one.

That wasn't just feces. Add gallons and gallons of urine to that mix.
