I suppose that the moron doesn't realize that in most states that require a license to purchase (MD has a Handgun Qualification License (HQL)) that you are already fingerprinted by the State in order to have the background check performed.
Now if we could only get CCW permits lightened up and use "self-defense" as a good and substantial reason we would be getting somewhere. Come on Governor Hogan!
O'Malley wouldn't be happy unless he had all the guns. Before we enact new gun laws let's start by consistently enforcing the ones we have!
How will fingerprinting anyone make them less likely to have mental issues and stop shooting people? Also note that all these politicians who are promoting strict gun controls have armed security guards. Can you say hypocrite.

The amount of press given to these otherwise unknown losers has got to be factor in this. Start by calling them john doe #1 and stop giving them publicity. Who cares what their cause was?
