Shelly Goode had just finished her night shift at the hospital when she was contacted by Seagoville High School where her son Jaegur attends.
Seems the North Texas school penalized Jaegur with an in-school suspension — because his American flag T-shirt was violating the dress code.
Goode should have been asleep Monday but promptly got herself together and headed to the school to get to the bottom of what seemed to her like a ridiculous punishment.
What’s more, Jaegur is in ROTC, hoping to earn a college scholarship through the program — and with all that on the line, the junior isn’t given to breaking the rules, Goode said.

The Superintendent, Teacher, principals and all involved need to be fired. If the BOE refuses to do anything about it they need to step down or be forced out.
so he wore a flag tee shirt and they were going to punish him but she protested and they reviewed it and said it was ok. What is this article about anyway?
Let's see if the prez tweets to this (non-muslim) student and asks him to come to the white house.
105, I would agree, it is not priority news, but why and how can a shirt with the national symbols on it not be allowed in a dress code that allows t shirts? Would a student with a flag of another nation have been in violation according to the original interpretation of the code? The last I checked this is the United States of America, patriotism is allowed and encouraged. We are to be tolerant of those from other countries, and accept other religions and customs, but no where until the last 20 years did we ever have to be politically correct and cater to those who can not speak English or wish to follow the "American Way". Our new love affair with PC is ridiculous. If the sight of the American flag upsets someone who is within the confines of this country, then maybe they should not be here.
12:58,right on!
Do they pledge their allegiance to the flag every morning?
Anything OTHER than a flag flying its DISRESPECTFUL look up the regs on the American Flag.
The dress code is clear. Solid color shirts only unless it has the school logo. Did I miss something, cause it seems that this kid wants special privilege with his shirt. I find no fault, and support the school.
