ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A lawsuit that says a Maryland real estate agent knowingly sold an Annapolis house infested with snakes could be headed to trial.
The Capital reports court records show that a mediation session on Sept. 14 failed to resolve the dispute.
In April, Jeff and Jody Brooks sued Barbara Van Horn of Champion Realty Inc. and her mother, Joan Broseker, over the purchase of the home.

Snakes eat rats, so there must be an adequate food supply. Who are you buying from, and what kind of neighborhood did you sign up for?
You should have shopped a bit more "upscale"!
6:28 wow
You are living in a blissfully ignorant world.
If you had bothered to read the secondary link, it was a $410,000 house.
But to me even if it was under a 100K I don't think they should normally have to accept that the house was infested.
Makes me wonder what you consider "upscale"
Just another smallsbury dolt that likes to hear themselves type.
We were told about a big snake on our property when we bought our house. And find many over the warmer months...oh no we live in the country with a lot of small prey squirrels, rabbits and birds...oh neighborhood must be horrible!!!
Failure to disclose... The realtor is obliged. So, in this case...liable.
A $410k house in some areas, is in the slums.
I agree, there's a reason the snakes are there. Get rid of of the rodent infestation and the snakes will leave.
I bet a lot of abandoned houses in this area are infested with the rats and their main predator the snake. What kind of snake is that by the way?
