Delmarva Man Plans 13,500-Foot Skydive to Raise ALS Funds and Awareness

Last year, Tim Hill walked 10 miles from Dewey Beach to Bethany Beach to show that amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, wasn’t holding him back.

They called it the Ten-Mile Miracle: ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that robs people of their ability to walk, and more. When he was diagnosed, Hill could barely walk a block, so building himself up to the 10-mile challenge really was a miracle, sparked by Hill’s determination.

Hill made the journey successfully, and in the process, helped many patients at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center ALS Clinic by raising funds for their specialized needs.
