16,767 Wicomico Jobs Vanished - US Bureau of Labor's Newly Created Job Count Methodology Skews Wicomico's Employment Numbers History

This past March, 2015 - SBYNEWS team uncovered and disclosed to our audience revealing the USBLS - (nations employment reporting agency) - restated its previously reported jobs statistics going back as far as 2011.  In essence - when the US Federal Agency took action to restate its previous job statistics - it resulted and created an illusion that the employment scene is much better than it had originally been reported.

In early May - our staff alerted the Maryland Governor's office, and, we also packaged up the data and submitted our findings to key FOX news network officials in hopes that they might be in a better position to expose the May employment numbers debasement.  As of to date - FOX news officials have not yet responded to our report.

As the Presidential election year quickly approaches - it is our staffs opinion that the Democratically controlled Presidential cabinet has attempted to try and re-write our nations employment history - hoping that the public won't catch on.  And for the most part - they have been successful since none of the MSM news agencies seems to have noticed.

And so the SBYnews team would like to remind our viewing audience - and to make you aware - of the strong delusional influence that is currently being 'spun' by the status-quo Democratic machine.  We sincerely hope that our reading audience is more astute than to be led astray by the Democrats attempt to rewrite our nations employment history.

See the results for yourself - 16,767 Wicomico Jobs Vanished!

Until idiots like cannon are stopped this number will continue to go UP.

It doesn't surprise me. Just like Hillary's thousands of State owned emails vanished. I just love her comment when asked about wiping her hard drive clean. Hillary said; 'Do you mean wiping it with a Tissue'

Come on now, if Hillary doesn't know about cleaning a hard drive then she doesn't deserve to be President.

That's the Democratic way, lie, lie, lie. And you would be surprised by the amount of people that buy into their brainwashing programs.

And people wonder why crime is so high in Salisbury.

Trump is saying the same thing - saying the "real" numbers are much higher than what the Dems are reporting. We, the people, know and feel it, unlike the sheep of the Democratic party who believe anything that comes out of the mouths of their leaders.

Joe, this is too good to waste on Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend. You should start your Tuesday posts off with this. Just a thought.

Sadly, thanks to the likes of Owemalley and Owepollitt, the majority of these jobs will never come back. God bless Culver for trying to do something about it. Hope he isn't going to put someone stupid in the economic development job like Strasburg. We need someone with real talent.

This country is as most corrupt as they come. You can't believe anything your being fed especially from the MSM.

John cannon Zero help.

There is a new Chipotle and 5 Guys coming to the north end. Of course after they close the other 5 Guys we will have gained at least (1) net new business. I guess this is what is considered progress. At the current rate of job gain, it could take a millennium to regain our former job ground.

If you follow Change Maryland or Larry Hogan Facebook pages, you can see how many taxes O'Malley added that drove the employers and high net worth individuals away. It will take years to undo the damage if it can be done at all.

No wonder all the non-politicians are doing so well in the polls for the Republicans and the Dems are sinking with Hillary who few people trust.

We do need business minded people in power to try and turn things around. The bureaucrats certainly aren't capable. Not only that, business people understand the need to hire talented people while the pols only give jobs to people they "owe" - whether they are capable or not.

It's like wack a mole with jobs around here.

If this administration has shown anything it is they have disdain for those who tell the truth. The Obama administration will go down in history as being the most corrupt Presidential administration in our nations history.

I sat around with another person the other day reflecting on the vast number of lost employers during the past 20-years...big employers...big payrolls...big benefit packages...all gone, generally relocated out of state, or simply closed. For Wicomico County, it is staggering. So much so, it is doubtful that recovery can fiscally occur. Wicomico has quickly shifted to a welfare county, more akin to Somerset County when it comes to state formulas and government intervention.

Rebirth is needed, but first comes the confessional. Wicomico leadership needs to stop lying to themselves...and to the public they serve. The local democrats you loved have hosed you. The Republicans that you have become are trying to locate the bottom so they can build it up. Good people have moved away...Salisbury City has experienced a leadership drain along with the money. Most of the business owners do not reside in the city.

Perhaps it is time for the city to abandon its Charter and simply mesh with the county government. Combine services and eliminate waste and duplicity. Harness efficiency and move forward together. It is going to take something this radical in order to thrive...stay on course and you are simply circling the drain.

Wonderful news for Culver!!!! Shows he needs to get busy trying to do what he said he was going to do....CREATE JOBS!!!! So far all he's done is eliminate them...in his own house.

Three years more to make a difference, Bob. Many, many of us are in your corner. Keep up the good work of getting your house in order before inviting in the guests.

There'll be no short supply of people desperate enough for those $8-$10/hr "starting wages". Too bad the landlords don't accept "starting rent", and there's not a "starting rate" for the utility bills.

3:41 - you are an uninformed liberal who probably lives off the taxpayers. Wicomico County government is bloated AT THE TOP. We don't need an Administrator and an Assistant Administrator. We certainly don't need 3 attorneys and their support staff. I'm sure many of the lower level employees would tell you there are too many chiefs. Good for Culver for trying to take on the unpopular task of streamlining government. It is a foreign concept with you liberals. Is that you Ricky P?

Cannon must love this report. More people who will be looking for slum lord housing. Do you people REALLY think Cannon wants to see prosperity come back - who would rent his dumps? Cannon's role as council president is truly a conflict of interest.

No wonder he is questioning the economic development plan. He doesn't want economic development.

Bob has a mountain to climb. Getting the right person in the economic position is key. He needs to try and recruit someone with vision and talent. Bring in someone from outside that has established contacts. We don't need a failed administrator of English's in that position.

Matt Holloway finally showed some common sense when he told Cannon he was micro-managing. Matt and Dodd need to realize they are Republicans and get Cannon out of the president's role and recognize he is a liberal democrat. Matt's family has several companies in the county. One would think they would like to see the county be prosperous unlike the slum lord. Matt and Dodd need to support Culver and help restore this county.

I think those of us with a brain (unlike the good ole boys and their friends) have recognized the numbers being reported were way off. We have become the armpit of Maryland. I can remember when people laughed at Dorchester and Somerset. Well guess what? Thanks to the Democrats, we have become one of those counties that make people groan.

O'Malley should be handcuffed and led to Jail for the damage he has done to our economy. He travels to Ireland to try and make an impression - then no sooner than he arrives, Baltimore explodes, 66 buildings burned down, hundreds robbed, looted. What does O'Malley do, he vacates his envisioned Europe and returns, but before he arrives his confidante telephones him and says;

'You are not going to like what you about to see - Baltimore riots are erupting everywhere'

Another says to O'Malley -

'Stay the hell out of here, you have done enough damage'.

And yet O'Malley has the audacity to continue his Presidential campaign. Talk about he the blind leading the blind, we have it here in Maryland.

It's to late for Wicomico County. So many decades of unrestrained over-regulation that I doubt very seriously it can ever be undone. No reputable business would ever locate in this environment. Might be better off trying to form a separate State with a new constitution that is vastly different that the present form of Governance.

So many good companies have exited our area. Labinal, Dresser/Haliburton, Crown, Campbell's Soup, Purity Bacon, Comtek, Salisbury Engineering, Bayliner, Shawnee Homes, Standard Register, Grumman, to many to list one this post.

Surely - the general pubic must notice. A Mickey Dees type of business isn't the type of business that should be Wicomico's foundation.

Anonymous said...

I agree with the above who also said it's to late. No way in Sam's hell would a reputable company relocate to Maryland.

Who in their right mind would chose to walk-into our Maryland borders and wait for yet another Democratic Governor to be elected. Just look at Baltimore as a prime example. Baltimore has been under Democratic control for more than 30 years without a single Republican Mayor ever being elected to office. Most all of the City Council and Baltimore County officials are all Democrats and everyone rapes and pillages their constituency. And that is the gospel truth and most everyone knows it.

Anonymous said...

To 5:09 Poster that said a McDonalds type of business should not be Wicomico's foundation.

The flat out truth - IT IS.

Anonymous said...

It really is an incredible story. So many good businesses have vanished. What in the heck is happening to our Country?

4:18 you idiot....I am retired and live off the 38 year pension from the poultry business. SO TRY SOME MORE UNINTELLIGENT BABBLE!!! LOL and to add no not Rick he's still working DUH, but he sure as hell was no worse than Culver!!! Like I said Culver has a lot to do to live up to campaign claims...but no he's just another politician!

Anonymous said...

To 7:25 Poster -

I am quite sure you are one of ones that was on the so-called 'Chopping Block'.

I have to give Culver credit where credit is due - he is trying to streamline our local government. There are still a lot of Pollitt's hand picked puppets in office - but as one can easily tell, Culver's job is a work in progress.

As people will soon realize in Crisfield - they are being led to slaughter house. Make no bones about it - the residents will be run out with Pollitt's spending history. Soon - wait and see.

Anonymous said...

7:25 Poster - that said Rick is sure as hell no worse than Culver.

CORRECTION: Our residents are already better off with Culver. Didn't you check you last real estate tax bill - we had no tax increase. Under Pollitt we always had an annual tax increase. I would say that our residents are a hell of a lot better off with Culver than we were with Pollitt.

Secession is the only way to undue what has already been done. It would be better and easier to try and start from scratch.

The "labor force participation rate" (basically the percentage of able-bodied people who are actually working) has fallen every year since 2007 and is at its lowest level since the 1970s. (Source: The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)

This is what happens when you keep voting for those liberals for both Houses of Congress.

Anonymous said...

To 8:56 Poster - You are correct, there are currently 93 million Americans that have fallen out of the labor force. Not since the Great Depression have we had so many non-working Americans. That's why one cannot rely on the unemployment rate statistic as a Labor measurement standard. You see when a person exhausts his/her unemployment claims (usually 22 weeks) and find themselves still unemployed, they are dropped out of the unemployment rate measuring calculus.
