Woman found dead in jail fears for her life in video

A Cleveland woman who was found dead in her jail cell tells prison officers she fears for her life in body camera footage released by police on Tuesday.

Ralkina Jones, 37, discussed her medical needs with Cleveland Heights jail officers in a video filmed roughly 15 hours before they discovered her dead last month, the Northeast Ohio Media Group reported.

“I’m not asking for any exception to any rules, but I will tell you this: I don’t want to die in your cell,” Jones said, pointing at the room where she was later found dead.

Her initial autopsy revealed “no suspicious injuries,” and Cuyahoga County medical examiners are still investigating her exact cause of death, police said. But Jones’ family wants answers after officers found her unresponsive on July 26.

People who are suicidal are often obsessed with dying.

She had medical issues. Come of the suicide sheeple. anyone goes into jail with a petty crime and a medical condition is subject to die. Their security issues make it hard to take any inmate serious until they are unresponsive many times. Inmates faking and attempts to escape are probably the main reason. Plus the fact that jails do not have doctors 24/7 but nurses. Many unqualified. If people were really innocent until proven guilty and not forced to sit in jail then these incidents would be cut down. I will say this has been a silent problem until now.

This wouldn't even make the news if not for Black privilege.
