Echoing President Obama’s musing about mandatory voting while leveraging a billionaire’s money, Hillary Clinton is playing the race card in the run-up to the 2016 elections.
Struggling with non-minority voters, Clinton told a crowd at Houston’s historically black Texas Southern University that sweeping changes are needed to get African-Americans to the polls.
“Republicans are systematically and deliberately trying to stop millions of American citizens from voting,” she charged.
The former First Lady’s broadside came three months after Obama suggested that voting be mandatory.

One of the few things POSOTUS has ever said that I agree with - voting should be mandatory - but excluded for those on Welfare as that would be a conflict of interest - like congress voting for their raises.
Voting should take place after presentation of verification of identity - to prevent voting multiple times / in place of another voter! Considering that identification is required to fly in a plane, drive a car, cash a check, buy booze/ciggies, along with so many other activities...that excuse is part of the official smell of DelMarVa!
