Our education system has become 'spoiled'. We give it money constantly, we keep the expectations low, and we reward medicracy. How can we expect that kind of system to produce excellence? Disgusting!
lets be real here......you have a school system here that is dead in the water........do we need to get down to specifics as to why......I mean do we need to.........
Probably would be a win win. Just have every parent in America sign off that they would never sue the school system every time little Johnny scrapes a knee while sweeping and off we go.
Ha Ha Ha! I can't even imagine kids in school keeping their classrooms clean and having to sweep the floors. I think it would be a great idea instead of just throwing their trash on the floor and don't give a darn. I rode by the new Bennet Middle School recently and thought to my self...Wonder how long this place will look nice as once the low lifes get ahold of it, they will soon trash the place! They think they are entitled to it......
Allowing kids to clean classrooms sounds good. However, when most of the technology and material goods in the room go missing, the public schools will learn that the honor system only works when folks have honor. Never mind. Public schools in America already know it.
I went to Catholic school, we had a janitor for major tasks but we were in charge of tidying up the room before we left. we also had kids assigned to lunch duty clean up

That would never fly in America. Parents and kids would whine and b***h about it.
I am sure someone or some organization would sue over this. Welcome to our world.
Great idea, and notice that they all dress nice, no pants hanging down below their butt.

the unions would never let it happen.
You are bitter because they failed you in grammar.

What a great idea. Teaching respect, responsibility and emphasize equality.

Imagine what they must think of Americans when they visit and see how lazy and rude Americans have become over the past several decades.

Instead of suspension or after school detention, put them to work. As a parent I am all for it.
