WASHINGTON (WJLA) -- Once a month, volunteers from all around the area gather in Northwest D.C. at 6:30 a.m. to clean the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial. Some of the volunteers are local, some have traveled many miles. All share the goal of paying tribute to those who we have lost.
The group pictured was organized by the National Capital Wall Vietnam Veterans of America. If you would like to volunteer, call 301-585-4000 x131.

Ok, so why no comments. Typical
Possibly the reason for no comments is because many people - including myself - had no idea of this wonderful way of paying tribute to those that made the ultimate sacrifice to our country.
I assure you that on first light tomorrow I'll be calling that number and making arrangements to participate whenever they may need me - me and a few of my friends on the shore - that are veterans.
Thanks Joe, for bringing this to our attention.
No comments because it was just posted. Geeh, give it sometime for people to wake up.
God bless. People have difficulty with their lives because times are so hard but they miss out on one of the most wonderful things in life because they are so busy complaining about how their life isn't fair. Volunteering to do something for others would really give your life meaning. Everyone that has time to complain.....has time to help someone else. Give yourself a present..look to see if there is a little something that can improve your neighborhood and do it.
