Love Letters Between George H.W. Bush & Barbara Show Just How Much They Love Each Other

Though I’ve had my differences over opinion with the Bush presidencies through the years, I have always thought they were a lovely family. And although their politics are far too Progressive on the right for me, I believe in essence, they are very good people. These love letters are very touching and give a glimpse into the love they have for one another and what they were going through as George H.W. Bush prepared to go to war. He was so excited to go as a pilot to fight the enemy and then he fell in love. After that, he couldn’t wait to come home and be with Barbara. Love turns the world upside down for all of us.

Decades-old love letters between former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara provide rare insight into the couple’s relationship during their engagement.

The letters, provided by the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum to the Independent Journal Review on Monday, were authored in 1943 and sent by Bush to his then-fiancée Barbara Pierce as he trained to be a WWII pilot.
