CBD Wellness Group made a presentation to the Easton town council during a special workshop session on Monday, June 1. Representatives of the group laid out a detailed plan to move into the old Black & Decker building off state Route 322 in Easton.
Maryland’s medical marijuana laws were updated in 2014 through state legislation that allows commercial entities to grow and dispense medical cannabis.
John Pica Jr., a lawyer who represents CBD Wellness Group and a former Maryland lawmaker, said the state will grant up to 15 medical marijuana growing licenses, and CBD plans to apply for one.

This would bring plenty of jobs to the shore, and it's about time medical marijuana became more widely available.
Legalize it and lets start marijuana farms everywhere on the shore.

Agreed! There's no down side to bringing the marijuana industry here, if you are a law abiding citizen.
The only ones who will be seriously unhappy about it, are those who depend on a limited supply to keep prices up, and therefore profitable. In other words, the criminals who smuggle it into the country.
With our own, legal marijuana industry, we can produce enough to meet demand here, and suddenly Pedro's 30kg bales of weed aren't worth more than a bale of hay. No profit, no illegal smuggling. Problem solved.
