With the science in - separate DNA, etc. - we all need to rethink this issue. The procedure itself should not be outlawed but it should not be used as a profit machine either (Planned Parenthood).
Those who find themselves pregnant should instead be given counseling and the alternatives and other options laid out for them. There ARE plenty of folks who will adopt.
There are plenty of folks who will adopt healthy white newborns.
Not nearly enough adopt the black, mixed race and/or handicapped children still waiting for homes.
Raising a severely handicapped child is not for everyone, like it or not. Little Corky might be a cute and cuddly five year old, but not so much as Hulking Horny Quasimodo at the age of twenty-five.

I disagree completely.
Adopting black babies has become a very cool thing. Lots of Hollywood folks want to adopt a black baby.
Adopting any type of baby because it is "cool" is morally and ethically reprehensible. It is a baby, not a statement (whatever that might possibly be).
Unfortunately, there are NOT nearly enough good homes for the oversupply of black and mixed race children.
