Look At This Little Gem

We tried to warn you that this guy has some issues.

First of all Josh, the image you show above is a STATE ROAD, not a County road. I'm sure glad you weren't elected.

How are we supposed to know which roads are maintained by the city, county or state?

Liberal logic.
If the guys doing the job aren't getting it done, go ahead and let them CONTINUE not doing the job because it's winter, which is the PERFECT time for them to continue NOT doing the job.
Its the same logic used to keep obama relevant. Except HE is curse during all four seasons.

State roads have route numbers and a name. Route 50, 13, 12, 346, 13, 113 and so on. If I an not mistaken county road signs are green. City road signs are white? Im not sure about the city/county but I know state roads do have a name and route.

State roads have a route number such as US-50 or MD-349. County roads are white signs and city roads are green.

You will also notice driving down Beaglin Park Dr you will see multiple signs BEGIN CITY MAINTENANCE and END CITY MAINTENANCE.

If you do not know what jurisdiction a particular road is in, it is best not to assume the County just so that you can play politics as this little gem shows. From what I saw this year, the County performed better without a Public Works Director. Looks like this was another good decision made by our County Executive to get rid of the Public Works Director. It is saving a ton of money and the work is getting done just the same, or even better. Funny that someone who wanted to be a Council member does not have the ability to check facts before making a post that makes him look very foolish. I can remember many people commenting about this issue saying that it was a position that was simply not needed and it looks like they were right. Kudos to Culver! Egg on face to Hastings!

I called the city one Monday morning about a pothole on Beaglin Park drive that blew out my tire over the weekend and was told they would have someone call me back. Three days later still nothing, so I called back and they said that it was in the county. I called the county and spoke with someone who said that from my description it was in the city but he would go out there and check to be sure. He called back not long after and said it was in the city but he had a crew nearby and would go ahead and take care of it because of how bad it was. I called the city back and told them it was theirs and they were very rude and still said that it wasn't theirs and if I wanted to be reimbursed for my tire that I would have to take it up with the County. I was getting pissed being shuffled back and forth and the next day called the County and explained what I was told and asked them if they could help me. The guy I spoke to said he could email a map to me that would show exactly where the lines changed and about 5 minutes later I had it. This time when I called the City and told them I had a map that proved it was theirs, they agreed that it was and would send me some paperwork to be reimbursed. This was four days after my first call to them. Does the City really not know what roads are theirs or were they just trying to get out of paying for my tire? What a joke.

Dear Josh,

Easy one to answer. City roads were 'bury with unplowed snow and uncleared city owned sidewalks. Hot rhetoric doesn't melt snow.
