Salisbury – Mayor James Ireton, Jr. met at Salisbury Fire Headquarters with all City Department heads at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the evolving weather situation.
UPDATES:
• City offices will be CLOSED Tuesday the 17th. Only essential employees will be expected to report.
• Trash and recycling services for Tuesday the 17th are cancelled.
• The Mayor’s Neighborhood Roundtable scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday is cancelled, and will be rescheduled at a later time.
• Stay tuned to the Mayor’s and SPD’s Twitter feeds for updates on the plowing of snow emergency routes.
*The City’s Snow Emergency Routes are for the express purpose of getting emergency vehicles into and out of neighborhoods.
“Our time has come for snow. The City is ready,” said Mayor Ireton. “I encourage all residents and visitors to return home as soon as possible. After the snow ceases to fall, cold temperatures will be the main concern for the continued plowing and improvement in road conditions. With nighttime temperatures below 10 degrees, it may take the remainder of the week for road conditions to return to normal. The city and its employees appreciate your patience in dealing with “Octavia” and its aftermath. Please look for updates as our I-Team produces them.”

It's nice to know Mayor Ireton follows Salisbury News. We truly work hard each day to keep everyone abreast of real time news you can depend on.
I'll sleep better tonight knowing Mr teacher has a handle on it..
The "I" team - really? ROFLMAO
does that mean that the courts and all will be closed?
Does the "I" team stand for IDIOT team?
Using her shoplifter model of reducing crime, chief duncant will post pictures of the snow to discourage it from falling again.

Miscreant.
Citizens: Make sure your sidewalks are cleaned off 1 hour after the snow ends or the Neighborhood Service Nazis will issue fines,
I don't see how since they have a thing about ten ft from the road. They can put the side walks there when I don't want them or people in front of my house . why should I take care of it. What's next I pay for cracked sidewalks?
