NYPD Cadets Advised Not to Wear Uniforms in Public

New York City police officials are now recommending that academy trainees not wear their uniforms in public, or any other clothing associating them with the NYPD.

The cadets have been informed of this so-called soft recommendation in light of the shootings of two police officers Saturday, which police commissioner Bill Bratton described as "assassinations."

Officials described the move as a common-sense precautionary step because they have also been assessing a number of copycat threats since the initial attack.

Not true. We have laws to protect us from these THUGS. Unfortunately, we have elected officials who hide behind RACE in order to keep us from being protected from these thugs.

Bring back the custom of tarred and feathered and rid us of this scum. Teach you kids (off all colors) that this infection of our society

C'mon. Wake up. I passed a public elementary school last night with a sign out front that read WINTER BREAK. No, it's the Christmas Break. It is set in our customs and history of this nation. Don't like it, move somewhere else. We don't demand that others join or even recognize OUR primary religion and values. Just stop trying to honor OURS (or move somewhere else?).
