Larry Hogan Vows To Kill The Phosphorus Regulations In Speech At Wor-Wic College

Speaking at the swearing in ceremony for Bob Culver as Wicomico County Executive on December 2, Maryland’s governor-elect, Larry Hogan, stated that he would actively promote the Eastern Shore's economy and protect its farmers from O'Malley's 11th hour effort to impose the notorious "phosphorus regulations." He said that he would make sure they are canned.

Messrs. Hogan and Culver have much in common – both personally and politically. Each is a small businessman, not a career politician like their respective predecessor-in-office, and became involved in government because of the need to change the modus operandi of the Democrat Party. And each upset the predecessor in one case and a very close copy thereof in the other. It appears that the governor to be and new county exec really like and respect one another, and there is no doubt that they share the goals of smaller and more efficient government.

This year's general election resulted in the best possible outcome for Wicomico County and the State of Maryland. But problems remain – Maryland's General Assembly is still dominated by Democrats who on the whole probably are even more liberal now, and the Wicomico County Council still has two RINO's who supported Rick Pollitt.

Hall was an a## last night at council and MHolloway needs to wise up. Cannon is sketchy too. Bob will probably have his hands full with those RINOs, but with the strong support of the Governor, which was evident at the swearing in and in press clips I've seen, the council, that is supposed to be comprised of 6 Republicans, better get on board fast. Bob has the relationship with the Rep. Gov. not the council. You underestimated Bob once, don't be foolish enough to do that again RINOs.

5:12 Agree completely. Don't trust those guys. Marc Kilmer was impressive in what he said about being concerned with what goes on IN a classroom. Joe Holloway always looks out for the people. The Pollitt regime is HISTORY and the RINOs and their supporters in the Executive's office need to take note. Everyone up there is replaceable. Culver needs a team he can trust.

5:41pm Agree. However, speaking legally, I believe he has made a mistake cutting the Birthdays for the Employees. He can't do that until the first of the year unless he wants some lawsuits against him.

Although Bob has some months to discharge the department heads, he should do so as soon and as completely as possible, starting with Beauchamp and Mackes.

boohoo. not getting paid b/d's. I don't know of very many who do and I've been working for over 50 years. timing maybe off, but cut this and MUCH more.

Thanks Mr. Culver...

How much did this dog and pony show at Wor-Wic cost me? That's what I want to know as a taxpayer in Wicomico County. Pollitt never rented out a hall to celebrate himself. His swearing-in ceremonies were at the GOB for free. Culver's wasting my tax money already, from Day One!

That must be one powerful speech.

Any government should be run like a business with the tax payers being the stock holders. If it does not make for good business or economic sense it should not be done!

8:27 PM, Bob Culver paid for the entire event out of his own pocket. He is also remodeling the executives office, including furniture, out of his own pocket. You can zip your mouth shut now Mr. Liberal.

What he can (should) do to shield the farmers from the impact is to require the chicken company to properly process the manure....

You people should get on the ban wagon with Bob Culver or be run over. He is looking after your A$$ and your money. Look on the positive side. Be happy for a change.

Good luck Gov. Hogan. We will be watching.

Why does the exec office need to be remodeled? I don't care who is paying for it. It will be a waste and not necessary.

12:04, That, (Mr. Liberal) is NONE of your business.

Considering ALL of the remodeling and furnishings are at Mr. Culver's personal expense, go to hell.
