It's going to be a very interesting four years. I expect a lot more is going to get done than in the last eight years to help the citizens of the County - at the expense of the fat cats spending taxpayer dollars without consideration of needs.
The BOE was allocated money to keep these schools up and running. They DID NOT DUE THE JOB. I listened to these people from the school. If conditions are this bad the Health Department should come in and close this building. Leaking roof and black mold??? Thank you Bob Culver we appreciate you!!!!!!!
Excellent letter! We may be seeing the end of the BOE smoke and mirror show. Now we can get to having functional building and spend the money inside the building instead of on the outside.
This is exactly why I voted for Mr. Culver!! Finally someone who is holding the BOE accountable. How can they claim this has been going on for years with this school when they only recently added it as a priority. This begs the question: What in the world are they doing over there with funds that should have been used to maintain this school -- go out to lunches on the taxpayers dime using BOE credit cards? Have catered food for the Board members at their meetings? The members of Westside Elementary should be outraged at the BOE and Dr Freddy. Not Mr. Culver. Finally we have someone in office with some sense.
If the money is not there how can they not understand we can't build a school right now! How many of these people would be willing to go out and buy a car or a house if they don't know where the they will get the money to pay for it?
The Board of Ed needs to answer as to why they did nothing for West Salisbury for 50 years. That is on them. The parents and teachers need to stop being fooled by the BOE and realize they are being used. The enemy is the BOE for West Salisbury. Seriously - answer the simple question. Why was West Salisbury overlooked for so long?
The parents and teachers are blaming the county for not caring about West Salisbury. Apparently it is the Board that doesn't care. Very deviously they are trying to put the blame on the county - even sending their big guns - Willey and Elmore - to give dramatic speeches at the council meeting to whip up the parents and teachers. Shame on them. Is that the example of integrity they want their students to follow? Don't accept responsibility, pass the buck? Truly disgusting.
Typical of Board of Ed, blame the new guy. The BOE has a culture of entitlement and self-righteous indignation bs like the one Pollitt created in the county. Oh - that's right, Pollitt sat on the BOE. Not hard to connect those dots. The BOE needs a Bob Culver!
I'm a parent & trust, I blame the board & county alike. Appears to me neithers sin is greater then the others. Neither appears to appear about the school or those in it.

Shame on Carolyn Elmore. She is supposed to be a conservative Republican. I bet the Republican Central Committee is sorry they recommended her now. I wonder what her late husband would say about it.

Well you are an idiot since you don't know the difference in who to blame. Maybe the BOE should have their own taxing district and let the newly upcoming elected school board members get the blame.
I don't need to know the difference, apparently you dont & the school system failed u. If the board didn't need the county, they wouldnt been there. Now u dnt know me & I & I dnt know u. & I pray u aren't anyone I have to look at daily. It s evident u lack any respect for others so I doubt U exhibit any for yourself.

Thank you, Bob. This should get placement on the front page. I hope that you copied Gannett corporate.
Thanks for taking the WBOE to task Mr. Culver. It's about time a leader did it. Way to go. You have made me happy.
Bob --
Please send a copy to Dr. Freddy by special delivery.
Just watched the Council meeting on Pac14 - the RINO's who supported Pollitt (John Hall and Matt Holloway) didn't know what hit them.

Good point. All those free lunches add up.

Get em Bobby!!!
This will indeed be a wonderful 4 years for Wicomico, and the state as well!
See what going to the polls does?
