Forty-eight-year-old Sgt. Maj. Wardell B. Turner of Nanticoke was killed Monday in Kabul when a vehicle carrying an improvised explosive device attacked his vehicle.

Not too many times have I been able to give compliments to our local stations, but I will in this case.
The coverage of Sgt. Maj. Turner 's death has been excellent on both MDT and BOC. It was covered in detail, and they even had footage of his return to Dover.
He is a true patriot. His service to our country - and certainly his sacrifice - demand high recognition.
I only hope the coverage continues throughout his services and burial.
Mr. Albero: If you hear of any plan of a benefit for his family or an event in his honor, will you please post it here? I feel that it will reach more people on this media than both TV stations combined. Thank you.
