Just think what the crime rate would be if they didn't fudge the numbers. Ask an officer and they'll tell you how bad crime is under reported.

As noted previously, the numbers only show the cases the cops elected to make a report on. Left out entirely are all the crimes they decline to record. Not a happy circumstance!
Better by far to accurately report what residents are experiencing, and armed with accurate info, to craft a plan to really serve the public by providing a safe environment.
Take the long view and make it better rather than buying band-aid 'solutions'.

The comment from Andy Harris came directly from his facebook page. If you would have clicked on his name that was underlined in blue you would have seen where it came from. As far as the website that you included in your comment. The website is taking post from this blog and using them. It even tells you on that page who actually posted it.

I've lived - a "resident" - in Ocean City for over 40 years. My very large circle of friends are all residents.
In those 40+ years, I can recall - maybe - about four or five stories of any type of "violent or property crimes" coming from ALL my friends and neighbors.
This survey tells me that there's a 1-in-five chance of being a victim? Utter nonsense.

Wow. Crime is Salisbury has gotten better. Last I had heard we were worse than Baltimore. LOL

Its not Salisbury as a whole , the majority of the crime is in a certain area and commited by a certain type of people. God forbid you tell the entire story or handle the crime the way it should be handled or you would hung out to dry by today's media and of course our local community groups
Look at where SPD was relocated. That speaks volumes! Ask yourself why there are few restaurants or retail establishments in west Salisbury or why delivery services won't deliver there!
