Westbound lanes of the bridge are completely shut down due to an accident. Anyone planning to head this way should just wait or plan an alternate route. We made it to Crackerbarrel before we hit the backup but that was around noon, I can only imagine how much further the back up is now, over an hour later.

1:31 What road work? I think the people you are seeing are people that are stuck in traffic. They probably just got out of the hot car while everything was at a standstill.
It was a headon wreck.

Yeah, you could leave and not come back.
The idea of having 2 way traffic on that bridge is bait for an accident. I really can not comprehend the logic behind it..
707, there are at least 3 other bridges in the U.S. that have 2 way traffic, and are generally accident free. You just need more practice at staying in a single lane is all.
