I want to know how many black candidates applied for jobs as police officers in that town. The ratio is poor for that community...but if no black men apply...or if no black men qualify what are we to do as a society? If black men are killing each other what are we to do? White officers are left to stand back and watch them kill each other because they dare not become involved for fear of retribution . We as a nation need to come together and understand the inequity in our society. Why are the numbers so out of balance? What as a society do we need to do to make everyone feel included. We have had the great experiment of welfare that has just impoverished people to a greater extent. Until the men in this country decide to stand up for what is right.... take responsibility for their own children and raise society as a whole we are doomed. This knows no color...it is happening on every level and in every neighborhood. People are tired of riding down the street and seeing grown men sitting on the porch step in the middle of the work day with nothing more to do but get in trouble or make babies that will be supported by the very government that they happen to feel is so corrupt. Take responsibility for yourselves and do the right thing. That is a beginning. If there are things that need to be sorted out (and there are) then let us start by being each accountable for our own actions. No more whining. If you want something...work for it. If you can get up in the morning...public school is free...GO. If you make decent grades...there is a way to go to college. Stop whining!!! Stop the free handouts...make everyone accountable for their own actions. What is going on in this country is a sin. We live in one of the wealthiest nations on earth and children and the elderly are hungry. I just don't understand...will someone please tell me what is going on.
