The famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesday's installment of "Life with Archie" when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics' first openly gay character. Andrews' death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.
"The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie," said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. "He dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us. It's what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years."

Why can't he die saving his best friend? Not his GAY best friend?! Why is his friend's choice of sexual partners relevant to Archie doing what Archie's character demands of him? Sick of the non-stop gay parade. I do not introduce my friends as gay or straight.
sorry 12:39 but being gay defines you. it's who you are. it's what everyone says about you. I for one find it appalling that a wholesome book like archie has to have a fruitcake in it.
Owners of the Archie Comics franchise are just twisted. Wish them nothing but unending bad luck and financial ruin!!

Choking on a carrot while having a Moochie designed lunch at school with his GLBT Muslim 3rd grader?
While searching for Bergy in Afghanistan?
When hit by a stray golf ball when OweBama tees it up and shanks it?
When he's killed during a Knock-Out game attack by a gang wearing OweBama logo T-shirts in downtown Chicago?
When he orders and chugs down a 20 oz soda in New York during a heat wave where the solar panels and windmills are not making enough power to recharge his Prius to get him to the ER?
When he jumps off a bridge after finding out the increase in his minimum wage by OweMalley doesn't offset the Rain Tax cost, thus making life in MD worse yet?
When he finds out his studies in the Common Core classroom haven't prepared him for the SAT he needs to take in order to get into college in order get a job rewriting press releases for The Daily Times, and despair he goes for a swim in the Wicomico?
And from the illustration, it appears they missed their mark? Shouldn't his assailant have been toting a gen u eyen assault weapon?
Sad; just totally sad when innocent fun like Archie, Jughead & crew become mind control pawns.
