The press is under reporting this in a huge way. A Taliban convention it's not, but OC is about to get a rude awakening when 40-50,000 college age black people start pouring into town. Take a look at youtube videos from the VA Beach event last year. Check it out on twitter. Google it.... Shootings, stabbings - 900 calls to 911 in a 6 hour period. Chaos. They walked out in the middle of busy roads en masse stopping traffic & harassing people in cars & on foot (that should be a good time on Coastal highway). Fights, fires, busted out store front windows. You name it, they did it. There's a reason police from as far as Philadelphia are on standby. This event is marketed specifically to the young black college age group and it has a documented history of violence & mayhem. You might want to consider checking further into it Joe because the residents of Delmarva deserve to be given an honest heads up.

This is going to be one huge mess. I have personally seen the pandemonium with groups such as this numbering only 1000 in Ocean City. Does anyone remember the "ShawShi" fiasco a few years ago? 94TH Street was shut down, and pretty much became a war zone. The police were overwhelmed by that "social group" (and as one cop said, "we knew we were outgunned"). That's with less than a THOUSAND participants!
My only optimism on this weekend is that there's a new sheriff in town - a new police chief - that has some serious street-cred from downtown Baltimore. He may know exactly how to handle this event.
One thing for sure: The boardwalk webcams will be the best entertainment anywhere on Saturday night.

Why has BOC not once mentioned that this is a black event? When they have shown pictures in reference to this event...all the people were white. Is this a black invasion or just a college invasion?
