Read up more on the situation, and you'll see that not only is the Rancher in the right, but the BLM has been doing this garbage for years to other ranchers in bids to shut them down. They always claim that it's for the public good, but in reality they simply want to steal your resources without allowing for you to make a living off of it.
This has gone from being about cattle, to representing every major issue over the past number of years regarding governmental transgressions against the citizenry.

Word on the Bundy Ranch FB is that the BLM has released the cows. BLM is also packing up and leaving. Other reports are saying the militia protesters ignored warnings of being shot and continue on toward where the cattle were being corralled to release them.
Evidently it was about 200 on horseback and a few hundred more who walked through the LE barricade to release the cattle. In the meantime it was quickly agreed upon that they would be released willingly by the BLM. There is a great video showing the cowboys bringing the cows home, flying the American flag as they ride.
