Editor Steve Green reports, Berlin Chamber of Commerce President Tom Sholtis has confirmed Saturday's planned celebration of the town's recent victory in Budget Travel's Coolest Small Town online poll has been postponed until April 12.
With a daunting forecast, town officials reluctantly pulled the plug during a meeting today.
"Our main concern here is safety and the forecast is calling for lightning and winds on Saturday, and we can’t risk people’s safety. We want to have a celebration party for 3,000, not 300,” Sholtis said.
