Alleged Military Pension Fix Leaves 90% Of Cuts In Place…Illegals Still Get Refunds

Advocates for Military Retirees got a mixed bag in the legislation in congress right now. The Omnibus bill does restore the pensions for disabled soldiers but not the millions of active military or previously retired soldiers. It does however make sure illegal aliens can get refunds they are not entitled to thanks to Harry Reid and the democrats.

“I was pleased that the House-Senate package includes a provision restoring the pensions for disabled veterans, after we called attention the fact that wounded warriors would be impacted by the budget deal,”

“However, the deal fails to restore pension payments for millions of active duty and retired military personnel and leaves more than 90 percent of the original reductions in place,” Sessions said. “For a currently-serving officer nearing retirement, this cut could exceed $120,000 in pension payments, reducing the cost of living adjustments by more than 60 percent.”

It's not a cut in the pension. It's a minor reduction in the amount the pension for younger military retirees is going to increase. This is exactly the type of cuts we need to fix our out-of-control spending problem. The huge firestorm that this very minor proposal caused is the reason we have such huge budget deficits.

Everyone says they want spending cut, then complain when people try to cut spending.

Tell that face to face to every retired Veteran that was willing to die for your freedoms!

BS on you - there are plenty of other places to cut first...start with giving money to Egypt, Illegal alien tax refunds, and allowing food stamps to be used for things other than healthy foods.....

How about starting cuts with people that do not EARN a living?
People that are stupid because of their own lack of self respect and lack of desire to carry their own weight in this world.
How about cutting welfare programs for people that violate American sovereignty and come here illegally to mooch off those that work?
How about cutting subsidies for people that feel entitled to life support because of the color of their skin or amount of children they can have and not support?
How about cutting taxes for people that are responsible and earn a living and support their families?
How about honoring the troops that volunteered to fight and die for your freedom?
