Rudolph Returns To Easton In Time For Christmas

EASTON — Rudolph is coming back. A giant figure of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer that has been missing for more than 30 years is coming back to Talbottown, and he will be, as in times past, chatting on the phone.

Baby boomers who grew up in this town may recall a time in the mid-20th century when the first event of every Christmas holiday season began at the Talbottown Shopping Center.

“I remember Rudolph vividly,” Hugh Grunden said, who is president and CEO of Easton Utilities.

“He made a lasting impression on me as a child and was a big part of what made the holidays in Easton so special.”
