Two Injured In Seaford Crash

Location: Stein Highway (Del. Rt. 20), east of Figgs Road, Seaford, DE

Date of Occurrence: Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 3:32 p.m.

Vehicles and Drivers:
Driver 1: Jennifer Hubbard, 32, of Laurel, DE (not properly restrained, admitted to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in serious condition)
Vehicle 1: 2011 Ford Edge

Driver 2: Allen Quinton, 26, of Mardela Springs, MD (not properly restrained, admitted to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in serious condition)
Vehicle 2: 1994 Nissan Quest

Resume:
Seaford- Two drivers received serious injuries this afternoon in a crash near Seaford.

The crash occurred as Allen Quinton, 26, of Mardela Springs, MD, traveled west on Stein Highway. For an unknown reason, Quinton's 1994 Nissan Quest crossed the center of the roadway and entered the eastbound lane, colliding with an eastbound 2011 Ford Edge.

Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Edge, Jennifer Hubbard, 32, of Laurel was admitted with serious leg injuries. Quinton was admitted in serious condition with internal injuries. Neither driver was properly restrained at the time of the crash.

The investigation into this crash is ongoing and no charges have been filed. Stein Highway was closed for approximately three hours as Troopers investigated and cleared the crash.
