Resume:
Middletown – A New Jersey man was arrested Friday after Troopers located a large amount of cocaine in his vehicle.

The incident occurred at 3:05 p.m. when two Troopers patrolling Route 1 in the area of Pole Bridge Road noticed a southbound 2003 Hyundai Sonata change lanes without properly displaying a turn signal. When the Troopers stopped the vehicle they smelled marijuana, which the occupants admitted to smoking prior to the stop.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a vacuum-sealed bag containing 261 grams of cocaine. The bag was found in the vehicle's trunk.

The driver of the vehicle, Bilal Jones, 23, was taken into custody and transported to Troop 9, where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and failure to signal a lane change. He was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institute, and released after posting $25,001 secured bail. The passenger in the vehicle was not charged.

The ole "changing lanes without a signal", huh? They tailed him for hours and he just wouldn't go over the speed limit! Seat Belt? Check. tires and equipment? Check. How ill we cover the informant's ace?
Turn signal!!
Unless you are willing to believe that the ONE car they pulled over this year for not using a turn signal to change lanes was also carrying a lot of cocaine.
