FBI agents began arresting Los Angeles County sheriff's officials Monday as part of a wide-ranging investigation into allegations of abuse and misconduct inside the county's jails, according to sources familiar with the arrests.
At least three people — including a lieutenant, a sergeant and a deputy — were taken into custody as part of a federal obstruction of justice probe into how sheriff's officials handled an FBI informant at the center of the jail investigation, one source familiar with the probe said.
More than a dozen officials are expected to be arrested, sources said.

Say it ain't so!! MORE crimes by the police? All these cops talking that "walk in our shoes for a day" smack don't seem to understand how many people would really like to do just that. It seems like a very lucrative endeavor....some vaginal cavity searches, a few drug deals, a hooker or two, some bribes, and of course, the 'confiscation' of a couple of bags of cash, plus the ability to beat or kill anyone who questions these acts of heroism and honor. That beats the hell out of any $10/hr desk job.....
