I know exactly how those being ticketed feel. I to was mad as hell after I received a ticket from the one in front of DeVages, near the Wi Middle School. I was doing 37 in a 25 mile zone and had to pay the $40 fine. I don't know how many times I have told my wife that I would like to tie a chain around them and pull them up.
Boycott DeVages and other buinesses near speed cams and call them and tell them why you are not stopping and spending money. I quit driving on East Main St.
Break the law & you should be fined. Those who are mad about the speed cameras are the ones who think it is okay to speed in front of a school. I have never had a ticket & it is because I follow the law. How would you feel if you were speeding and hit a person? Or, rather if someone else were speeding & hit one of your family members. Would you then be in favor of the speed cameras? Just obey the speed limit & you won't even notice the cameras are there. Pretty simple, I sayl
I for one do not like these cameras, BUT to cause vandalism to other property is a CRIME and when caught they need to be charged convicted and made to repay repairs and put on a criminal registry to be watch and save other property from being destroyed.
The big government already has a fix for this sort of action, they will install cameras to watch the other cameras, then they can see a lot of stuff without leaving the station. Big cities, camera's everywhere, it's coming here.
Don't be fooled by some of the still photos seen that looks fuzzy, there are some cameras that can count the legs of a fly on the object it is faced at.
It won't be long and all convenience stores will close early and you will only be able to pay through a bulletproof window.
Responding to 1:45 Posting - 12 miles over the speed limit.
The point is - 25 miles per hour is simply to slow of a speed to traverse through the school zone. The speed limit should be at least 30 miles per hour minimum. That makes the threshold before ticketing at least 42 mph.
My take on the speed camera at Wi Middle is that it is ENTRAPMENT!!!
The speed limits in front of these schools are to low. I encourage all people to seek alternative routes through adjoining neighborhoods if at all possible.

It's the City politicians and not the County. The County refused placing them there and Barbara Duncan and Jim Ireton jumped all over it with their greed. The City is reaping the benefits of taxes in a Wicomico County school zone and the Wicomico County schools do not benefit from these taxes.
Anonymous said... The speed limits in front of these schools are to low. I encourage all people to seek alternative routes through adjoining neighborhoods if at all possible.

Then they will put cameras on those routes. Apparently they can put cameras 1.5 miles around a school.
Those kids deserve our praise and thanks for messing with these cameras! It is too bad they can't set them on fire or hook a chain around them and pull them into the river!
2:13: I am a NOTORIUS slow driver, and a month ago - on one of the first times I drove through Salisbury on Route 13 in about 20 years - I received a nice photo of my car that cost me 40 bucks. Yes, according to the law, I was speeding. I will say that there are different degrees of speeding. I do not remember any flashing lights warning that I was approaching a School Zone. It was 11:00 in the morning. All this did for me was convince me that we are heading to a Big Brother society, and that I don't want to shop any longer in Salisbury. I'll go to Delaware, where the 35 MPH signs are visible. That outhouse of a city - Salisbury - just got even worse.
Speed Cameras are another word(s) for Lazy Law Enforcement. Nothing more.
If you get a ticket for 37 in a 25 via camera, I can can only imagine how many drug cars, weapons violations and wanted felons just get ticketed via a camera.
Salisbury PD and the County need to get off their asses and make these traffic stops. When you are not visible in the community you end up with three armed robberies within an hour time span. Sound familiar?
I don't see this as "county residents fighting back". It's graffiti. Someone wanting attention saying "look what I did & got away with it". They were probably just walking through the neighborhood looking for something to do (not speeding by).
I like the idea of having them! How many times have I seen others going at least 50 MPH---especially near schools. If you do the Crime---Pay the Fine- It's that simple! Crime is so out of control in this County it's an asset for us to have them. The police can not be everywhere in this spread-out town.
Something just occurred to me! I haven't been to a few of my favorite places because I quit driving on the streets where these cameras are located. 1:10 isn't far off the mark with the boycott idea. I'm already doing it and didn't even know it. I avoid the Bennett area all together and I have not been to Ace or the little Mexican place I use to go to all the time.
Responding To 4:18 Posting - 'I like the idea of having them'
I would not put it past our own City or County police force propagating this crime - as many of the offenders are law enforcement themselves. Even they - do not like these devices.
Why don't you 'revolutionaries' just go the speed limit and save your energy for something a little more important? Petty vandalism only makes you look foolish. A more appropriate use of your time and energy would be working to replace the people who allow this kind of thing.
Oh, and speeding in a school zone? You should lose your damn license, not get a $40 fine.
To 11:12 am Posting - referring to drunken students.
If they are, they are true red-blooded American students. Remember what Lincoln said of General Grant when they accused Grant of being a drunk . . .Lincoln said;
If it [drink] makes fighting men like Grant, then find out what he drinks, and send my other commanders a case!".
It is irrelevant what the speed limit is or how fast you are going. The fourth amendment of the Constitution still takes presedent. They will be sticking speed cameras everywhere like in D.C. if you let them.
everything hitler did was legal to. that didn't make it right. abortion is legal that doesn't make it right. these are arbitrary laws that can be change by whoever is in power. total bs and just a way to steal from the citizens. but just remember it's for the children! yeah right that's why they run these 24/7/365! can't wait till all you fools who are for these run afoul of some other arbitrary law that cost you! Then you'll understand why some of us don't like them.
Putting a camera at DeVages just serves DeVages. The school is further down the street and no camera is there. The only reason was he complained to much about people going faster past his business.
3:45pm Bob Culver just wants to see his name here & to make sure you know he didn't vote for speed cameras. But, wait, this camera is in the city and not the county, so Bob, maybe you should ask what city council members voted for it. But, there is your name here anyway.
My wife got 4 in front of Wi Middle School in one week. I hear about it almost every night at the supper table. The sooner we get rid of these devices the better off my life will be.
Funny how most of you say its about big brother or how its about the gov being lazy. Here is a little fun fact I know one of the guys that works for the company that puts these things out. He is a gruff guy but has a kind spot for kids and works to keep them safe. His reply is if you would just slow down you wouldn't get a ticket and you could go on your merry way. He said as a lead he gets his technicains from the areas they service and with the same morals he has. Bottom line is to keep the lil ones safe. They are still learning and the last thing they need is for a speeding car to strike them. They are our future and we need to slow down and pay more attention. He said he does a job that that helps law enfrocement to do other things.
If you think painting the cameras is going make the city remove them think again. The city will have NO problem using your tax money to fix them... If you want to face your accuser you can. A City officer will report to court if you want to fight the ticket and the officer has to explain in detail why you received the ticket.
Either slow down or pay the fine. Stop the Iv been Victimize crap. Americans can never admit there wrongs its always some else fault....
5:30, I highly doubt that. Besides the damn camera is not in front of his business! DOH! The city installed them 2 blocks up the street from the restaurant, and the reason why the camera is there is because of the curve before going down the hill in front of the school. I asked the guys when they installed it and this is what they had told me. Besides I do commercial grounds work on East Main and glad the camera is there. It makes my job a whole lot safer when I have to work along the street. In hindsight I hate the damn thing as well. A cop running radar would be better than that POS. I can't tell you how many times I have seen the contractor working on the damn thing. Waste of our taxpayers dollars.
The problem with speed cameras is the vehicle is getting the ticket and not a person. I guess those who approve of speed cameras also think a gun or knife should be charged with the crime when a murder is committed and not a person?
I can understand why some would be upset about getting a ticket by a "box", but since these cameras are all in school zones and you have to be doing 12mph over the speed limit in order to get ticketed, why are you so upset. Would you not want people excessively speeding in front if our school potentially putting our kids in danger to be ticketed.
The guy that puts them in does it for the money, nothing else. No one wants to see a kid hurt but give me a break, this is all about money, nothing about safety.
I just don't understand why the speed cameras are operating after school starts for the day (when, presumably, the kids are all IN the school) and for several hours after school closes! THAT'S what's not fair!!!
Anonymous said... 3:45pm Bob Culver just wants to see his name here & to make sure you know he didn't vote for speed cameras. But, wait, this camera is in the city and not the county, so Bob, maybe you should ask what city council members voted for it. But, there is your name here anyway.
November 10, 2013 at 5:48 PM
This camera is in the city and not the county? What a dumb comment. Are you to stupid to realize the City of Salisbury is in Wicomico County? DUH!!
With this equipment we can get rid of a lot of police officers. How can you justify 80 city officers ? I say put them all over the city , let the officers worry about crime and donuts.
@ 8:52 PM, It's you that has some growing to do. 95% of things done under the guise of "for the kids" are a scam. That phrase is right up there with "all natural" in terms of marketing BS.
If you are speeding in a school zone you deserve a ticket but these boxes are not about safety, its about revenue. Besides, the way the traffic lights are set up your more likely to hit another red light before you can even get up to 25mph.
"Anonymous said... Why would you hillbillies think it is acceptable to destroy property?
A fine example you are setting for your children! Be proud of yourselves.
November 11, 2013 at 8:50 AM"
It's called standing up for our rights 850. You are the horrible parent because you are teaching children to sit down shut up and comply with the basic principles this country was founded on. You are teaching them to be nothing more than good slaves and not leaders who have the guts to stand up. You are nothing to be proud of. You think children should be trained like they are dogs.
All these complainers would still be griping if a cop was sitting there with a radar gun 24/7. Grow up and drive the speed limit. And if you believe you have legitimate concerns regarding the speed cameras, it still is WRONG to vandalize them. I cannot fathom how all these posters think that is acceptable.
9:46 Your going to teach your children that vandalism is OK? There is a right way and a wrong way to stand up for what you believe in. This is the wrong way.
11:31, this "complainer" wouldn't gripe over a cop running radar so there goes that assumption. I for one cannot fathom how someone can be so naive about these cameras and yet say we are the ones that need to grow up in the same breath.
Hey 4:22 PM, If the exact same thing happened and YOU were the driver instead of the MSTrooper, your comment would be a pity me and blame the kids comment. Bet you've always got some bone of negativity to pick with law enforcement regardless of fact. My nagging question about the accident is, I wonder if the two boys were high or drunk? Because nothing else really makes sense.
Do the speed limit, its for the kids. They run after school is over bc their was an incident in another district where a kid was going to an extracurricular activity around 7pm and got hit by a speeding car. Leave them there so the cops can worry ab real crime over petty things as speed. Dont speed on the roads with the cameras. I wish all I had to worry ab was speed cameras. Find something else to occupy your time!
Here's the bottom line to ALL the arguments posted: What do the cops and the town want to do? Do they want to make money - or do they want to seriously take care of the well-being of the schoolchildren by protecting them from speeders? I say make money. Mainly because by simply putting up flashing yellow lights, and a highly visible, large sign, stating "SPEED ZONE CAMERA AHEAD" and adding that you WILL absolutely get a ticket if you exceed the limit, would do the trick. Do that, Salisbury, and I would highly advocate the raising of the fine - under those circumstances - to $500 - just about the same fine as passing a stopped school bus. Speeding would all but cease.
@1:46, I do drive the speed limit but I also disagree with the cameras. Its about money, not safety, as 1:47 stated, why not put up bright signs warning of the cameras, surely then people would slow down? Oh, that's right, they want you to get caught in the trap and pay the fine.
Yeah...right. Like you will stop shopping somewhere because there is a speed camera nearby. Guess you won't allow your kids to go to school now either.
Yes... "SPEED CAMERA AHEAD - You WILL get a ticket!" That would do it. I don't think enough people (I was one of them) that don't quite comprehend what the speed camera is (they're looking for a police car). Here's a thought: To test the point, have someone from the neighborhood and get out there and hold a sign up with those words, waving to the cars. Do this for one week, and I'll bet the amount of speeding tickets would drop to almost nothing.
Excuse me about drive the speed limit and you won't get caught bull crap. Several months ago I was tagged on 50. The speed seemed odd to me but reluctantly I paid it. 3 weeks ago I get a letter from the City of Salisbury stating that the violation had been Administratively Voided along with a $40 dollar refund. Why? Just because it SAYS you're speeding is not necessarily accurate. tyvm Oh and BTW one can go up to 11 mph over the posted speed without getting cited. So much for the mamby pampy do it for the children bull shit.
First off, if your gonna bad mouth a business, how bout you put your name by it instead of being a coward and using anonymous!! This is Ryan DeVage and let's get some things straight! The camera is in front of Orkin and not DeVages, regardless of where it is tho, we didn't put the cameras up, the city did!! When you have vehicles doing 65+ mph in a 25mph zone where their are hundreds of kids that walk each and every day that's a problem. We've seen countless kids almost get hit. If it was your child that was hit by a car I guarantee you wouldn't be bitching about speed cameras! The solution is simple; slow down!!!! You know the cameras are there so slow down!! I guarantee I've had more speeding tickets then anyone on this blog and I've yet to get a $40 fine from the camera and I drive by it 4 or 5 times a day! If I were you, I'd be happy the camera is there and not Officer Green b/c his tickets start at $90 a pop and with your ignorant attitude I guarantee he'd tack on a few more $$. How bout next time you sack up and put your name by your statement so everyone can know how big a selfish idiot you are!
wow really? boycott the businesses near speed cameras? they don't put the speed cameras in place , the city does. are you boycotting school too? since there are speed cameras near the schools i guess that's what you are saying. you don't even get a ticket unless you are driving 12 mph or more over the speed limit. here's a novel idea, slow down to a mere 10 mph over the speed limit when you are near the signs. it will make you feel like a big man and you can avoid the fine. idiots.
Here is an all so novel thought with regard to what many of you refer to as essentially a social blight upon the area. If the cameras in question are such an issue, would it not make more sense to simply have everyone obey the posted speed limit? Imagine, if you will, very expensive devices like these installed and maintained but collecting no fees? For those short of mental stature, I will simplify. If the cameras generate no revenue, then the cost of maintaining them becomes prohibitive, does it not?
Of course, this is beyond comprehension of so many, but again, just a thought. For my part, I will obey the posted limits not because of the cameras, but because it is the law.
Like some have said, just because the paper says you were going 42 in a 30 MPH, those are just numbers on paper!
Salisbury and the provider of the cameras, Brekford, have previously failed to provide the calibration records ford these cameras which proves that they are actually clocking peoples speed correctly. Apparently just the other day on Nov 8 they finally submitted this information. Anyone know where I many see it?
Brekford is, however, the same company that was forced to refund 700 tickets in Baltimore County because of miss calibration, why haven't they gone and screwed these ones up too?
They are in place mostly for easy revenue they generate, and continue to purge the pockets of unsuspecting drivers operating well within safe driving habits. I myself have submitted several hundred dollars to this scam and am just waiting for the moment I am refunded the money I am owed.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why anyone would want these devices. Don't you understand that these governmental intrusive devices are taking hard earned money from your hip pockets and putting it into the hands of spend thrift politicos! WAKE UP!
To 2:50 PM Posting - Referring to SBYnews readers as Morons.
Please leave your name and address and I'll gladly have all of those receiving tickets send their fines so that you can pay them. Then we will soon see who is the Moron in the end.
I say keep it up! And while your at it, paintball the red light cameras at every intersection! whether its breaking the law or not, cameras of any sort are an intrusion on rights and liberties of every citizen! Even the law abiding citizens! The path to hell is paved with good intentions. The destruction of freedom and liberty is taken away in small steps. This is not about safety, but all about revenue enhancement and spying on the average citizen! Everyone should be concerned!!!!
For all of you Monday Morning Quarterbacks yelling and screaming "you had to be going 12mph over to get a ticket". Yes 12mph over in the eyes of that camera. I put these systems in for a living for five years before I switched careers. If not calibrated and even when they area, they flag false tickets. In some of our early trial runs in 2002-2003 in different jurisdictions. We were seeing false positives at the speed-limit, and 2-3 mph over the speed-limit. I can promise you these underlying issues have not been corrected. They use "manual review measures" in some systems to correct this issue. The biggest being marks on the ground with video footage. Reviewing video footage of the incident to ensure the timing is spot on to what the camera is saying is speeding. These systems do not employ these features. In my professional opinion Salisbury got duped, there were far better systems that could have been put in with abilities to weed out these said false positives.
All its going to take is the right person to get the ticket, hire the proper lawyer and start litigation that ends up forcing the removal of these systems. It's happen in countless jurisdictions, mainly due to 6th amendment violations. Along with technical personnel stating the failure rates of the said equipment. Google "speed camera 6th amendment and forced removals" many cases will appear. Salisbury never did there homework before instituting these cameras, across the country they are being removed.
One kid with a spray can of paint does not equal Wicomico County Residents. I guess it was the Wicomico residents that threw the toilet paper at Halloween. They will see how much he "fights back" when they lock him up.
The voters had plenty of time to speak up at the many council meetings that this was discussed at. Where were you????? At home, on your couches, watching tv. Don't complain after the fact. That goes for 95 percent of you that want to bitch on a blog and not be part of the process.
The camera at Wi Middle flagged me for going 23 miles over the posted speed limit. There's no way I was going 58 there ... I am extra careful there because my child goes there ... Makes me extra aware of my speed. Something needs to be done ...I know someone else who got two tickets ... 60 mph one time and 55 the next week ... Again, not speeding.
There are reasons to speed. Wife in labor heading to hospital. If stopped by a cop you would probably get an escort to the hospital. That is common sense. The speed cams use no common sense and should be shut down everywhere.
So, what is your view on how parking tickets are handed out? Do they circumvent the law? Maybe we should just forget about any laws regarding driving as they could all be construed as "revenue grabbers". Funny thing, I often read people on this blog that are opposed to speed cameras calling people morons, libtards, and many other names that describe their IQ simply because they have a different opinion than you on the subject. What it boils down to is that at some point, we are all going to have to agree to disagree on this topic. It has been beat to death. I view them as a user fee. I do not want my tax money going to pay for cops to babysit people that cannot obey the laws of the road. People think that they are not important laws, but they are. I view the cameras as a user fee....those that break the law can help support the people that enforce the law. I don't have a dog in the hunt and do not benefit in any sense from the cameras, but they do not bother me. Cameras are everywhere now. Is it an "erosion of freedom" for a camera to be in a bank or store and be used to catch someone breaking the law? What most people have a problem with is the fact that they can get caught now. They think that there should be more signs up warning of the cameras....besides the speed limit sign and the sign that says photo enforced that are ahead of all of these cameras. If people have become so complacent that they can't pay attention to the signs warning them of a speed camera that is ahead...then they deserve a $40 for driving 13 mph over the speed limit. All of the things that you point out are your opinion only. A fact is that the only thing that changes driver behavior is enforcement. Cameras are enforcement and deter speeding. That has been proven....this can be proven by the decline in the number of citations issued as the cameras are in place for a period of time. This means that they are doing what they are supposed to. Would all of you be happier if we spent more tax money, or raised taxes to hire more officers to babysit people that are selfish and have no regard for other people that use the roads? I won't be. I pay enough taxes for my money to babysit drug dealers and thieves. Keep speeding through the camera areas and help keep my taxes down....I sure appreciate it.
These cameras do not allow you to face your accuser. Thus, they are unconstitutional.
Furthermore, if you speeding does not injure another, there should be no crime. This is the way that Common Law works, with which our country was founded. Unfortunately, the perpetual state of Emergency that we are in, for no good reason, has brought us Admiralty Law (notice the flags with gold fringes in the court room). In admiralty law you have to prove your innocence.
I can only hope that people who get these tickets request the certification documents from the police.
Why don't most of you get on your hands and knees right now, so when government officials come by, it will be much easier to kiss their ass? America and its citizens USED to have a extreme dislike of authority. NOW, most have surrendered to the "if it saves me money", or "if it catches all the bad guys", or "if you aren't doing anything wrong, go ahead and take our rights" mentality and rationalization. Jefferson would be SO proud of you people selling our hard earned rights away for a personal vendetta or to save a little money. God help us all.
It's sad, it really is. most people are so pampered and spoiled they take everything for granted. they think they are above everyone else, until it happens to them. then you need earplugs to soften the whining.
they are all hip hip hooray when it happens to the 'other guy'. they don't realize they are next.
Imclain...aren't you the one that complained because the health department was offering free car seat checks and then a week later, a young child was severely injured due to being restrained improperly? You don't have a right to drive. You have a privilege to do so. How do you feel about EZ pass? It is to make things easier for drivers. It is enforced by what.....waiting...wait for it....a CAMERA. The owner gets the ticket, not the driver. Never heard anyone complain about that 11:58....are you serious? "If you speeding does not injure another, there should be no crime". Your grammar is a crime in itself, but more importantly, stealing does not injure someone...should that be ignored too? You guys are really running out of excuses...looks to me like 9:11 hit the nail on the head. What it boils down to is that you all don't like it that you can get caught now. If you don't like going the speed limit, don't drive. Breaking the law and speeding can put other peoples safety in jeopardy. That it why driving is a privilege. It is selfish the way some of you drive...
Not going to shop or travel in Salisbury, MD and will tell all my friends the same. Love the fact that town will get no money from me. If enough people complain maybe then maybe the merchants will put pressure on the town officials.

Good job!!! Keep up the great work!!!
I love it ! trash the tax collection camera's.
get organized. after you paint the lens, throw a chain around them and drag them down the street.

I'd say more likely drunk kids than county residents did that.
Civil disobedience was the start of the revolution against the King of England.
This may well be the start of one here....
I you go the speed limit, why all the worry about the cameras?? The vandals should be caught, arrested and made to pay for the damages.
I'll say one thing - the activists certainly are tenacious. One strike after another.

Wow - they got her good this time.
Boycott DeVages and other buinesses near speed cams and call them and tell them why you are not stopping and spending money. I quit driving on East Main St.
It would seem that if someone doesn't speed, there isn't anything to worry about. When you choose the behavior you choose the consequences.
The devices should have never been allowed to be installed.
It is an encroachment on our fundamental right to pass peaceably.
students likely
I hope the college KIDS don't put Vaseline around the lens......?
The safest thing to do is prevent MSP from driving in that area.
So let me get this straight...you were going 12 miles over the posted soled limit, by a school, and you were mad that you received a ticket??? Wow!!
According to our

Obama has us living in "POST CONSTITUTIONAL TIMES" where that document means little.
I hope they ticket all of your pansy asses.

Can anyone post who voted for this intrusion

I don't see this as "county residents fighting back". It's graffiti. Someone wanting attention saying "look what I did & got away with it". They were probably just walking through the neighborhood looking for something to do (not speeding by).
anonymous 4:06, I disagree. They spray painted black paint over the lens. They knew what they were doing and made a statement to boot.
I like the idea of having them! How
many times have I seen others going at least 50 MPH---especially near
schools.
If you do the Crime---Pay the Fine-
It's that simple!
Crime is so out of control in this
County it's an asset for us to have
them. The police can not be everywhere in this spread-out town.
Cop cars seem to be more danger to pedestrians then anything else. Look at what just happened in Berlin.
Like I've said, do the speed limit, there's nothing to worry about...
If they are, they are true red-blooded American students. Remember what Lincoln said of General Grant when they accused Grant of being a drunk . . .Lincoln said;
If it [drink] makes fighting men like Grant, then find out what he drinks, and send my other commanders a case!".
I say send the Patriots what they desire!!
4:52 PM Posting - You are just to funny. But it is true.
I agree with 3:23.
These are spy camera's that issue tickets to pay for themselves.
24/7 they are getting you not only during school hours, that is BS!
C'Mon people grow the heck up!
I saw them out there at around 3AM.I thought the one crouched down was praying.
I'm fighting mine in court. Main street east got painted 3 days before my ticket.
Seriously? Those punk kids ran right out in front of the Trooper. Let's not exaggerate and twist a situation to make a point.

This camera is in the city and not the county? What a dumb comment. Are you to stupid to realize the City of Salisbury is in Wicomico County? DUH!!
Shouldn't the voters decide if we have speed cameras? Bring it to the ballot. Start a petition to bring it to vote.
With this equipment we can get rid of a lot of police officers.
How can you justify 80 city officers ?
I say put them all over the city , let the officers worry about crime and donuts.
6:28, your wife is an idiot if she or he got 4 tickets in one week. The cell phone I'll bet.
12:14 AM Yes, Salisbury is in Wicomico County BUT the County has no say in what Salisbury does. DUH!
CAN I GET A HELL YEAH!!! next thimg u know these dumbasss will have cameras to watch cameras.
Why would you hillbillies think it is acceptable to destroy property?
A fine example you are setting for your children! Be proud of yourselves.
To 8:50 Posting
How do you know it wasn't a police officer who did this?
How about a firefighter?
Fact is know one knows anything. The one thing we do know is that these devices are creating havoc in our community. I SAY REMOVE THEM!!!

What does it say? Was it suppose to say watch the watcher?
Do like they do in Fruitland put up cameras and still run radar! Double Dip for the King!!!
Here's the bottom line to ALL the arguments posted:
What do the cops and the town want to do?
If it is for the safety of the children why don't we bus them to the schools instead of having them walk?
Any information on who had done this vandalism will now receive up to $1000. Contact salisbury pd and report anonymously.
@1:46, I do drive the speed limit but I also disagree with the cameras. Its about money, not safety, as 1:47 stated, why not put up bright signs warning of the cameras, surely then people would slow down? Oh, that's right, they want you to get caught in the trap and pay the fine.
live free or die...you and I have a right to face your accuser....next ticket you get demand the camera be in court from cross-examination
Why do you have to have flashing lights and be in a school zone to follow the speed limit? DUH...
Yeah...right. Like you will stop shopping somewhere because there is a speed camera nearby. Guess you won't allow your kids to go to school now either.
You mean a sign besides the white and black one with the speed limit posted and the ones ahead that say photo enforced?
Yup 2:55 they need a more expensive sign to notify their small brains.
@7:03, Your insults seems to imply that you may be the one lacking in the brain department.
How bout next time you sack up and put your name by your statement so everyone can know how big a selfish idiot you are!
wow really? boycott the businesses near speed cameras? they don't put the speed cameras in place , the city does. are you boycotting school too? since there are speed cameras near the schools i guess that's what you are saying. you don't even get a ticket unless you are driving 12 mph or more over the speed limit. here's a novel idea, slow down to a mere 10 mph over the speed limit when you are near the signs. it will make you feel like a big man and you can avoid the fine. idiots.
Stop breaking the law, Morons!!
Dear readers,
Here is an all so novel thought with regard to what many of you refer to as essentially a social blight upon the area.
Anyone know where I many see it?
http://www.mddriversalliance.org/2013/11/mda-exclusive-brekford-representative.html
I like 4:52 PM's analogy to what Abe Lincoln said about Grant.
'If it [drink] makes fighting men like Grant, then find out what he drinks, and send my other commanders a case!".'
Makes sense to me. We are already overrun with regulations.
10:21 thank you
One kid with a spray can of paint does not equal Wicomico County Residents.
I guess it was the Wicomico residents that threw the toilet paper at Halloween.
They will see how much he "fights back" when they lock him up.
Brilliant suggestion, Paladin (10:21 PM). Effective, simple, and should satisfy everyone but the fruitcakes.
I LOVE IT!!!!
The voters had plenty of time to speak up at the many council meetings that this was discussed at. Where were you????? At home, on your couches, watching tv. Don't complain after the fact. That goes for 95 percent of you that want to bitch on a blog and not be part of the process.
There are signs that say photo enforced in front of every one of them. Maybe you should be paying attention. HAHA
Just keep trashing them...grease the lenses.
A scumbag bag way to raise revenue. I have not gotten a speeding ticket in 20 years but dang sure got one from the commie-cam - $40.
3:23 PM
It's sad, it really is. most people are so pampered and spoiled they take everything for granted. they think they are above everyone else, until it happens to them. then you need earplugs to soften the whining.
they are all hip hip hooray when it happens to the 'other guy'. they don't realize they are next.
I'm surprised the city has'nt sold advertising space on them.
