When you think of that little dream homestead in the woods, what does it include? Probably a well and septic system, a little stream bubbling nearby, a chicken coop, a sunroom for winter growing, and a cozy fire to curl up next to.
When my daughter and I spent a year living in a cabin in the Northwoods of Canada, our wood stove was our lifeline. It was the only source of heat in a place that reached -42 degrees. It was the only way we could cook when our power went out during snow and ice storms (as it did frequently). It was the cozy center of our home, and we survived for an entire frigid winter for less than $800. After that experience I vowed never to live in a home without a wood stove.
If the EPA has its way, however, heating your home self-sufficiently with wood could soon become illegal – or at the very least, insanely expensive.

It would be forcing people to use more electricity which pays the government so it would be a tax.
These people have never won a single election, but exert THIS much power and authority? And people still say 'the system' is working? It might be, but not in the way Jefferson and Franklin intended. They DID, however, give us the solution, which they postulated was inevitable. That particular part of history is now FORBIDDEN to be taught in schools. I wonder why.....
i will only say this, all hell will break lose if they try this. survival is basic and this government is NOT going to take that away from us. PERIOD
The only way to stop this is to quit voting democrat!
Lets see them go into the Appalachian Hills of West Virginia and take out a family's wood stove. They had better take an Army with them. Maybe the EPA under Obama's direction will send in drones instead and kill the whole family. It's getting that bad folks.
Voting has been compromised with fraud it will take a more direct approach to stop the take over.
They will come for the guns before the wood stove, which for many in rural areas, is the only way they can stay warm. We are only a spark away from a moment in time when the little people will gather as one. Without Freedom, why live?
The EPA and the UN are working together to strip us of our rights and leave us broke in the name of global warming.
no, cops are going to show up to remove the wood stove and people will get killed. Then you will have some say they got what they deserved because they didn't obey the police.
Let's not forget how 'militarized' Obama's EPA has become. They are the same EPA that, in military assault fashion, raided an Alaskan gold mine recently only to find nothing environmentally wrong.
Here's some contact info for any others who would like to tell the EPA how you feel about this:

Your woodstove is more important than the Americans who died at Benghazi?
What's the saying? Molon Labe...
105, no, but equal. I am an American, and deserve to live as well. Not to die of hypothermia.

Seeming as the rule changes did not kill the use of wood stoves in the 80's and 90's, I doubt these changes amount to "taking an ax".
Like confiscating guns I would be interested to hear how they plan on enforcing this law. I do not see it as even remotely possible. Another distraction.
This Little guy, Us against THEM Notion that people always harp about is a real joke. Who is US?
It sounds like a bunch of paranoid individuals who wouldn't be able to start a grass roots movement if it meant their own life. Face it... us is just a few people huddled behind their personal keyboards.
