A Minnesota high school student says he was slapped with a five-day suspension for an emphatic show of patriotism.
The students placed 150 mini-flags all around school grounds and painted USA on doors. Two others received lesser suspensions.
Bryce Reps, who led the effort, is fighting back against the punishment, arguing it could hinder his chances at getting an Air Force scholarship. He points out that his penalty is harsher than if he had gone to school drunk.

It's vandalism pure and simple. Punishment deserved.
What's next painting gang affiliation signs on others property.
Get a grip on norm! The flags were great. A tiny penalty for writing on school property (doors) is all that is appropriate. Adults of all views post, write, paint their views; not always appropriate. Why would we expect more from our youth....at least he was RIGHT!!!!
That Air Force scholarship I would imagine that will be gone also. Why would the air Force want a trouble maker in their academe. It's obvious It was done for attention, not patriotism. You don't wake up one morning and say, darn, I'm Patriotic today. There is nobody working at a school that this stunt will change their beliefs. Their job is to change your little head of mush into Anti-American, Anti-Christian allegiance.
Flag stickers okay, they can come off. Graffiti spray paint is always vandalism and NOT OK!
Suspension.
Even the stickers without permission are not okay unless the owner of the door gives permission.
Has everyone lost the concept of respecting ownership?
Sorry, son. I wouldn't want you in the Air Force Academy. It's still vandalism, regardless of the message. If you don't understand that, you aren't fit for the AF.
Supposedly the "paint" was water based.
It was gone with the first rain.
That is not vandalism.
Don't let yourself be mislead ANYMORE.
Get the facts.
It's why this country is in the terrible position it is with Obama.
He was never vetted for his Marxist upbringing.
