Man Running To Raise Money For Veterans Punched

WILMINGTON, Del. - Wilmington police say a former Marine who has been running cross-country to raise money for veterans' organizations was punched in the face while running through the city.

Brendan O'Toole, a former USMC sergeant, was running on Market Street about 3:40 p.m. Wednesday. Police say a man suddenly and without provocation punched O'Toole in the face. Authorities say he suffered a concussion and a cut.

Officers say O'Toole reported the incident on Thursday. Police looked at surveillance footage from a surveillance camera that recorded the incident and a man found sleeping in a doorway was arrested.
