It appears the internet is buzzing about MRE being place in schools where FEMA has the United States broke down in to zones with this area being zone 3. When our local school was asked they looked like deer in head lights, and was given no reply. Have your sources heard any reasons why? I know this is not a common practice.

NO it is not common... there is a big event coming...
Rumors has it that, it might be asteroids coming and might hit our area but you will never hear that from NASA... or It might be a big solar event that will take out our power grid and they feel it might be in this area, that to will not be told by NASA...
There is also one other thing... Might be martial law coming because Obama wants WWIII and will sign the UN gun ban which will take ALL SMALL ARMS from civilians... we don't and we might riot... To add on to this, there have been a lot of foreign troops here training for riots and civil unrest... Napolitano signed a contract with russia asking for troops to help with disasters or anything else the govt might need... UN troops are coming over as well... Some even say they have seen russian soldiers working for the DHS stopping people like cops on non major roads...

A lot of military activity and training seems to end on oct 1 and all the delivery deadlines are oct 1... Fema wants the food and water there by oct 1 and the military wants tanks and troops and ammo and guns there by oct 1...
Also, they said that NO ONE will have leave in the military from sept 28th to Nov something...
All in all, something big is gonna happen very soon... good or bad... like it or don't... Conspiracy or not...

I'm not sure if that FEMA Region III alert is a scam or not. There are a lot of claims and it's hard for me to research them all. It's a super-viral story, though. Just Google "FEMA Region III Alert" and you'll get tons of results.
In short, there are a ton of things that are supposed to happen by October 1 in FEMA III (I think it's MD, DE, WVA, VA, and PA). If they are all true, it's possible that the deadlines are based on the Federal Government's Fiscal Year.
If you want to be uber-conspiratorial, maybe the false story was published so that the NSA can track who shares it. That would label you as a prepper, which in real training manuals marks you as a probable terrorist. Your guns, your food, and your kids will shortly be confiscated.
As always, do you own research and make up your own mind. Don't let somebody else do it for you. Take responsibility for yourself and your family.

Not True! I watched the movie Armageddon, And the government notified everybody. NASA has our backs.
If it was true we could send oil drillers out to blow it up like on the movie.
FEMA ordered food for 3 day supply for each child in school, it is to be delivered sometime in September. The CDC also ordered hundreds of thousands of vaccines and antibiotics to be sent to region 3 and stored in Baltimore. Probably going to store them in the same place they store the anthrax and other chemicals of mass destruction.
The big event is a power grid drill necessary for addressing our antiquated power grid infrastructure.
Don't you all get it? This is nothing more than corporate executives telling their house slave BO to get busy and find ways to make them more money! These government contracts not only line the pockets of the executives but no doubt prevent layoffs which would add to the unemployment rate.
