NBC says it’s planning a four-hour miniseries about Hillary Clinton.
The project, titled “Hillary,” will star Diane Lane, the network announced Saturday at a session of the Television Critics Association.
The role of former President Bill Clinton has yet to be cast, NBC said.
The miniseries will recount the life and career of the former first lady and secretary of state from 1998 (i.e., during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Variety reports) to the present.

Free media for her upcoming failure of a presidential run.....
Darn. I was hoping for Tina Fey.
lol....Hillary's pantsuit doesn't hold a candle to Diane Lane. Talk about revisionist history!
For Bubba: Chances are an ex congressman with an attraction to being on the screen will soon have room in his schedule.
Poor Diane Lane: on her worst day (appearance-wise) she's light years better than Mrs. Bubba at her foxiest.
Bet they do a "made up" version.. Wouldn't dare do a true account of her.
2:54 You are right. Problem is there are too many ignorant Democrats that will vote for her anyway.
Wonder who will play Monica?
That Weiner guy would be believable.
5:44 Weiner is running with the Attorney General. It's the Weiner - Holder ticket. They have the support of O'Malley and the mayor of Salisbury.
If they picked me for the role, I'd quit my acting career right there.
653, LOL!
Sadly, many Americans have nothing better to do with their valuable time and will watch this and the Clintons will make a small fortune due to an American epidemic, which is - Americans are more concerned about other people's business & problems instead of their own, which is why poverty levels are skyrocketing in this country.
That’s amazing, do you really think the makeup people are gooding enough to make Diane Lane that ugly?
I thought Whoopie was a shoe in for the part.
Wow, horrible casting. Julia Child would be much better for the role. Or that lady from Goonies.
