Trayvon's Mother Trademarks Son's Name

Trayvon's mother trademarks her son's name as merchandise hits stands throughout Florida

Sabrina Fulton (pictured), the mother of slain Trayvon Martin, trademarked the rights to his name as an attempt to control- and collect funds from- the masses of merchandise being produced in support of their cause.

Both parents are using this as a cash cow!

She trademarked his name and sayings BEFORE Zimmerman was even arrested. Tell me that wasn't a money grab!

The hell with PC: It's ALL about the money in this culture. Sadly, I truly feel that when their dope-smoking' wannabe-thug of a son got himself shot, the parents quickly knew they hit the lottery.

And the real reason she pursued a trial is.... ding ding ding... money.

She disgusts me.

I don't have a problem with them trademarking Trayvon's name at all. The problem I have is her and others who have decided to not be honest about this whole thing.
Problem Number 1 is the complete refusal to admit Trayvon was not without fault. #2 The attempt to portray Trayvon as something completely different than what he was. #3 The idea that somehow the Stand Your Ground statue was the reason behind Zimmerman's acquittal when the fact is it wasn't even a part of the trial.
#4 Attempting to portray Zimmerman as something not one shred of evidence corroborates.
The list goes on and on.

This dishonesty which is so prevalent within the black communities that is a major contributor to all their social problems. When people can not or refuse to be honest, moral and have principles there is nothing to guide them and incivility is the result.

It's not about race, It's all about the money and power...

No class what so ever. The same kind of people Travon was himself.

Funny who they trademark the name... but there not after money right?

she is not smart enough to do this. one of her free lawyers set this up and is taking a hefty commission on it.

ALL about the $$$$$$$
POS.

That's pretty much all we needed to know, thanks!

They trademark the name to prevent unauthorized use of it. Really remedial stuff folks, any attorney would advise the same under such a high profile case. Give them a break, they lost their son for christ sake.

How much of a CUT does Rev AL get?

I totally think Zimmerman was innocent. However no one can say Travoyns parents didn't love. If this happened to my child right or wrong I would try to protect them even in death. Trademarking his name keeps it from others that would try to profit off his name. It's actually appalling listening to everyone on here saying the parents just want to make money. Put yourself in their shoes. Makes me embarrassed to be white listening to all your racist comments.

"Shows me the money" That's all I ever axed for!

She could also trademark.."LEAN" This 17 year old CHILD...already drug induce liver damage!

You are right on point 4:42. The posters on here have no soul.

4:42...sounds like you are already "embarrassed to be white"....probably have been for a while, too.

"However no one can say Travoyns parents didn't love"

I can and will. He was a troubled child and was with his father because he had been suspended from school......again.
I don't know whether his father didn't notice or didn't care but he was gone all night laying dead in the morgue and was even autopsied late the next morning as a John Doe because no one bothered to check up on him or to go and look for him if they even realized he wasn't home. I don't know of any parents in my circle who will even go to bed before their child of 17 isn't home.
I would have thought at least his mother would have made a nightly call making sure he was home and to wish him goodnight.
Sorry but they didn't love him and had no time for him while alive. What's amazing is the limitless time they have for him now.

You are an embarrassed pig that is all you are. An ignorant liberal one at that.

The parents have "limitless time" for him now in death because the payoff is more lucrative.

She has to pay those civil rights lawyers sent to her by Al Sharpton one way or the other. They won't work for free, they too see a pay day in this. Zimmerman is not a wealthy man so she can't rely on much from a civil suit. I felt sorry for her loss until I read this article. Grieving mother? I think not.

These parents behavior help explain why Travoyn turned out to be a low life thug as portrayed on his Facebook site.

You are correct. AND there are 7 patents associated with trayvon's name by different people.

4:42: First of all...Could you share whatever the hell you're smokin'?

It's a different time. Death is not quite what it used to be, especially to a certain culture.
My personal wake-up call to this was when I watched on TV a mother - a MOTHER - whose 16 year old (drug dealing) child was shot and killed by Chicago police.
Without a tear in her eye - just minutes after the shooting - her comment: "..Somebody gonna pay fo' this..!"
In the Black community - sadly - murder is just a way of life. If a parent can capitalize on it - even better.
(Just imagine your mom, YOUR grand mom...whatever, saying those words after someone so close to them has been murdered. It's unimaginable.)

Mostly "to collect funds from" I'll wager.

So true 12:42. The lessons from the Martin/Zimmerman incident are obvious. A lot of blacks do not value life unless they can attach the racism agenda to it. Over 10,000 other blacks violently killed between the Martin shooting and the verdict. Not one ounce of "outrage" expressed.
The other lesson is that a lot of blacks do not value honesty and truthfulness. They not only have allowed but continue to let untruths surrounding the case to be a part of it.
This lack of honesty is a major contributor to all the other social ill wills the black communities are facing.

So is she going to use the money to help other black children like she said she want to do? NOT!

If this had happened to either one of my Mother's children it would not of been like anything we saw. Due to how she reacted when her Mother died, she would of most likely ended up in the hospital, When we were 17 we had to be in by 10:00 pm on weeknights and 11:00 pm on weekends during the school year. I was suspended for saying 'shit' at the end of the school year. I was grounded for the whole summer. She didn't send me off to Dad's. Things are so different today. The one thing that hasn't changed is our Mom. We respect her and show her how much we love her. Mom never would of Trademarked our names. She would grieve privately for us.
