well if this is the third location to open in salisbury they must be doing some pretty good business. id rather it be in that location than downtown plaza or twilley center.

That's a big lie. Jim Ireton is always sending out a press release to make him look good. The crime has not gone down in this city Mr. Liarton!
The other stores are grandfathered because they were in place prior to the legislation being passed. Ugly? Who cares. Alot of property owners are stepping up trying to improve this area and this business won't help. Look what E. S. Adkins has done to their site. Its a huge improvement and just a few blocks from this mess. Some people care about this corridor.

I agree. Crime is not down. Prostitution is not down. It just moved across the street to that other flea bag motel.
You would think a thriving business would lead to money coming into the area. Taxes being paid, money being made. Why so against money?
And i dont see an obscene word on that sign... Theres one on the way to Ocean City and there is no obscenities in their windows either.
So where is an acceptable location for an adult novelty shop in Salisbury?
porn shop down the street certainly adds to the surrounding. why was it allowed? right after the overpass, that's the first thing you see. what an impression.also, isn't this really the red light district?

Nowhere is acceptable! These businesses should be warehoused & mail order only. They have no place in towns.
This is just political posturing. As soon as that shop opens its doors, Jim will probably be its first customer, buying the biggest "toy" they have for sale.
5:15 Well let's get rid of coffee shops, since you should have a coffee maker at home anyway. Oh, and let's get rid of all clothing stores, because you can buy a machine and material to make your own. Oh yeah, get rid of grocery stores, because you can live of your land, right?
It's a business, one that may not cater to your ilk, but serves a purpose to a group, even a generation (or 4), of people.

Restaurants come and go and these stores never seem to go out of business. Guess they are filling a business need.
The one south of the hospital has been there for 23 years we should probably be giving them some sort of business award.
